We are very pleased to announce that we have gotten approval from Itch.io, and completed the donation to The Black Trans Femmes in the Arts Collective!

Thanks to your generous support we were able to donate $3992.35 USD!

We are so incredibly grateful for the support you all have shown us throughout this venture!

And now, with this donation, it has finally come to a close.

This will be our final post, but we will keep the social media accounts up, as an archive of the project!

🔸 DONATION UPDATE 🔸

Hello all,

It has been 1 month since we contacted Itch.io Support about the glitch with our payout, and we are happy to report that it has since been solved and we have begun the payout process! We want to thank everyone immensely for your patience, because of it we are able to payout significantly more funds to the Black Trans Femmes in the Arts Collective than we would have otherwise! We still will have to pay processing fees to PayPal, of course, but this is still a wonderful donation to the charity.

However, Itch.io has a human verify every single payout, (which we think is AWESOME actually, from a transparency standpoint), which means that the full process for our accounting mod to get the money to their PayPal will still take another 7-12 days. After that we will donate the funds to the BTFAC. We understand this is another almost two week wait and so we thank you for your continued patience! We’re in the home stretch!

We have included here screenshots of our process to show you how it is all going!

Look out for our final post sometime in September about the final total we donated after fees.

Donation Update

Hello again, everyone!

We just wanted to give another update on the final donation. We believe that Itch.io has assigned us an incorrect, overly high, tax-withholding amount. This is apparently a common, recent bug that has shown up on their store that we were not aware of until we tried to remove the payments.

We are attempting to get this fixed so that as much money as possible can go to our chosen charity.

We have sent in a support ticket and are currently awaiting a response. If we do not receive a response within 1 month we will look into other options to make sure the highest amount of money gets to the Black Trans Femmes in the Arts Collective.

Thank you all for your patience and understanding. We hope this update clarifies what is happening and puts you all at ease. Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns!

Hello everyone!

Now that overflow sales have been over for a couple day we wanted to explain how the final steps will go! We wanted to be as transparent as possible about this process for the comfort of all involved.

All that’s left to do is to take the money raised and donate it to the BTFAC, capping off the project!

However, due to how the itch.io storefront functions we will be unable to withdraw the money raised until the 19th. That is because Itch requires that a transaction be 7 days old before it is eligible for payout! To avoid excessive transaction fees we want to take out all of the money at once, so we have to wait for every transaction to be 7 days old.

Since we had transactions up until the very moment we closed the store, we will need to wait until the 19th. After that we will endeavour to donate the money as quickly as processing allows and then update you all with the final total here, thus ending the project!

She’d never be able to convince her daddy to move up here—he has a lot of jobs back home, and Aunt Maya has vaguely mentioned something about the village and men before—but it’s a good place to visit. It snows in the winter, there are no busy streets to worry about, and in the spring, the surrounding meadows are filled with wildflowers.

If there’s a perfect place in the world, it’s the meadow behind Pearl’s home in early May. On a day when it’s warm but not too hot, with a light breeze and a blue sky with a few puffy clouds.

Trucy flops on her back, crushing the wildflowers beneath her. The smell of flowers is overwhelming, and it almost makes her dizzy. It does make her giggle.

“I like it here,” she says with a grin.

After their chance to prove themselves as competent detectives with a big break in an important case goes south, Kay finds her partner Ema drowning her sorrows in their shared office. They have a heart-to-heart--which ends with Ema crashing on Kay's couch (and the acknowledgement of some inconvenient shared feelings between them).

I wrote this for the @sapphicaazine , Intellectually Attracted! If you didn't get a chance to preorder the digital zine, you can still snag a copy during the overflow sales, which are running until July 11th. It's a great collection of fics and art for a huge variety of ships, and all purchases benefit the Black Trans Femmes in the Arts Collective.

“You look so serious, my God,” Haori chided. There was that new glow about her, or maybe Susato was just imagining pregnancy folk tales.

“Do I really?” Susato asked, lifting her hands to her face. Age had made her a certain shade of conceited, in the sense that she noticed the wrinkles and the lines. She also seemed a bit more ornery than she had in her salad days, no doubt about it.

“Yes, but it’s alright,” Haori said, rubbing at her belly with a gentle hand. “Can’t expect you to be looking like a spring chicken all your life, can we?”

“I suppose not,” she said. “It’s just that… getting old makes you so aware of all the follies.”

Haori raised an eyebrow. “Follies?”

Susato pursed her lips, considering her words with caution. “I suppose I keep coming back to all the things that I neglected in my life.”

Haori clucked her tongue. “You say that as if you’re old and gray. It’s a new decade. You’ve still got some youth in you. What’s there to regret?”

The words left Susato’s lips before she could even stop them: “I mean the things I never had a chance at.”
