The average sun cycle for Absynthia was usually spent wasting time, following through with the onslaught of trivial activities she used to distract herself. Of the countless errands she ran, only one was a true necessity for the day; groceries. Between the trips to craft stores and boba tea shops, this surely was of most importance—— and inevitably, she would forget why she’d set out on this journey in the first place. Typical.
This dimension had always been of notable irregularity. Creatures walked among humans, and the mortal and immortal mingled with one another often on this little blue dot in relative harmony. But… generally they didn’t have legs that she was sure were just tangled up copper wire spray painted black. That was new. That was weird.
As her gaze fell upon him in passing, she all but halted in her tracks, empty fabric shopping bags dangling in hand. Maybe she was seeing things? She wasn’t sure, and this uncertainty left her to backpedal to try and get a better view.
Oh, he was even weirder than she thought. What a treat!
❝ Buddy, what the fuck is this? What is going on here, ❞ she prodded, stepping towards him with her arms held up in a gesture of disbelief and confusion. ❝ Not that I don’t love it, but still. Holy shit. ❞
“... What?” Censored was taken aback, not entirely sure what this stranger was referring to. The personification rarely got much notice, which was a pretty good way of life for him. But this was a bit of a disruption to that. Censored furrowed his brow at her. “Nothing’s going on with me, now what’s going on with you?” He rested a hand on his hip with a huff, expecting some sort of bogus explanation or some snappy response in return. Or maybe she’d back off. Overall though, he was particularly unamused and rather not let her question him further. But of course, he was curious. To a fault sometimes. “Do you usually go around and pointing random people out of a crowd to hassle? Or am I missing something here?”
