So I found Aaron Bushnell's reddit and went through his comments/posts. That young man was well read and stable as they can be. Nothing in his writings pointed to someone who was "unstable" or "brainwashed".

He held leftist and anarchist ideals. He belong to the ACAB subreddit. He recognized the evil of the US Military even though he himself was a part of it. He hated TERFS and called out fatphobia. He understood the dangers of white supremecy and the evils of capitalism.

He had a cat. He liked the show fleabag and played elden ring.

Apparently in his will he wants to leave any money in his name to palestinian relief funds. He was trying to find a new owner for his cat.

Rest in peace Aaron Bushnell. The world won't forget & we sure as fuck won't let the media paint you out to be some crazy conspiracy theorist who had no idea what he was doing.

The reason the establishment is so terrified of Aaron Bushnell's protest, is because they understand a point many of you seem to have missed

Aaron wasn't sending a message to the government (we know they don't care)

No, I think Aaron's message was meant for other service people like him. Because if the military refuses to participate in the genocide, it's over

And if you thought YOU were moved by Aaron's actions...

imagine how Aaron's unit is feeling right now

Mutinies have started for less

The exact moment every protest turns into a revolution, is when the army refuses to defend the establishment any longer.

And THAT was the message Aaron was sending out. How many units now are ready to reject orders? How low does their morale have to sink before they say 'enough!' How long until they stop pointing guns at the protestors outside, and run over and join them instead?

This is dangerous territory for a government that is hellbent on ignoring every crisis it creates

Everytime I read Frankenstein, the same line makes me put the book down and stare at the wall. It’s my favorite line in the book; it has its own highlighter color in my annotations. The first time I read it, I literally detoured after my last class just to tell my lit teacher how much I liked the line because I couldn’t wait until second period the next day. Here’s the line:

“Life, although it may only be an accumulation of anguish, is dear to me, and I will defend it.”

This is said by the creature. He wanted to live. He wanted to live life so badly even though he had had such a difficult one. He still loved the song of the birds and the smell of the flowers and the joy in the world even if he never got to truly experience that joy. I just. AHHHH.

He wanted to fight for a life he never got to live.

His name is Ramzi Abu Redwan. During the time the picture was taken he was 8 years old. Today he is 36 and has become a world-class solo musician and composer, playing the Oud, Buzuq, Violin and Viola.

He was discovered by a Palestinian musician who recognized his natural talent at the viola, and later received a scholarship to study at a conservatory in France. He could have stayed there and lived a comfortable life in Paris, but instead, he chose to return home and give back the gift of music by openning music schools in Palestinian towns and refugee camps.

It's interesting how there's an abundance of videos showing IOF soldiers gleefully committing various atrocities toward Palestinian civilians and not a single one of those videos showing them actually fighting Hamas.

Every single day, have I seen videos of dismembered bodies of innocent children, women, and men. I've seen innocent people being shot dead, attempting to seek shelter, and the soldiers are never held accountable. I've seen orphans with dust all over the bodies, walking aimlessly to find their parents under the rubble, people attending funeral prayers to hundreds of innocent martyrs wrapped in kafans. A helpless child caught in a car begging for help while death stares at her face.

And every single day do I have to see new videos published by these parasitic soldiers and politicians who openly boast about their genocidal intent. Celebrating the expansion of the settler colony, showing no remorse for their actions. They don't talk about Hamas. They don't care about Hamas. They never did. They want the Palestinians gone. A bunch of sadistic thugs that want to hoard everything in that land for themselves, and they will not hesitate to toy with the lives of innocent to achieve that.

Israel IS and will ALWAYS be a genocidal settler colonial state, a state built on blood and death.

We are witnessing the grotesque reality of the martyred Palestinians and thousands of their massacred children being written off as mere afterthoughts. The way western media outlets steadfastly refuse to call the Israeli aggression and onslaught for what it is, which is genocide and ethnic cleansing, is just another way of dehumanizing Palestinians.

I am so fucking scared. I feel that... you know it's not about death. I'm not so scared of death. I'm so scared of being displaced. I want to go back to my home--and I'm so near, by the way... Gaza is so small. But I can't go there because the Gaza Strip is cut into pieces, and vehicles and tanks are in the borders between these pieces so I just can't go anywhere inside my homeland. My place. And... it's unacceptable. It's unimaginable. You know I have never imagined before that one day someone would just grab me from my... my homeland. My place. And just throw me away and prevent me to come back.

By the way, we don't know if we could go back. If we could go back again. Ever. And I'm so scared that they could displace us from Gaza Strip to the desert. [Bisan's voice breaks, she breaks into tears] We will die in the desert because of hunger. They displaced us to Egypt. To the north of Egypt, to Sanari desert. People just die. We will die.

[Sob] I don't know why do you guys are watching without doing anything to end this. Just in the... just stop it. Just stop it. Stop it in any price, stop it in any cost. Just stop it for anything. Just stop this. It's a nightmare. I can't continue just thinking about the displacement more and more. It's a nightmare. And I can't-- I can't keep it alive while thinking of being displaced more and more.

I just wanna go back to my home.

-- Bisan in a heartbreaking voice memo on Instagram, 2.14.2024

If you were complaining about wanting to watch the Super Bowl on the same day that Palestinians died from airstrikes, you are guilty. If you have the financial means to help and you didn't, you are guilty. If you have a platform and you didn't use it to spread the word on the horrific things going on in Palestine, you are guilty. You are guilty you are guilty you are guilty. Living a completely normal life while thousands of people die in front of you should be garish, it should be insidious, it should make you feel disgusting. Yet here you are complaining about watching the Super Bowl. You think Palestine is an inconvenience to your day. I'm disgusted to my core. I want nothing to do with you. You are guilty and you are complicit.

For those of us who still have humanity left to spare, please donate to the PCRF. Buy esims. Any last penny you could spare could make a huge difference. These people are literally enduring mass starvation and displacement in live time. This is not okay. Please try to do what you can. Spread this to anyone who has the means to do even more.

This is the "let's be kind!" "kindness is so attractive!!" "let's care about each other!" site until people get genocided, but the genocide itself doesn't directly affect you lmfao. every fiber of my being is repulsed. no one will forget that you were quiet.
