I know I’ve not been posting on here very much lately and it’s probably going to continue to be a bit unreliable - I’m feeling very exhausted from real life stuff and i have times when even reading fic/discussing hcs/responding to stuff I’m tagged in is tiring for me much less actually writing. I’ve also got a pretty bad injury and I’m in a lot of pain at the moment so that’s affecting things as well. I’m not ignoring anyone 🩷 queue is still running

For @silmarillionepistolary day 1, daily life!!
I didn’t really know what I wanted to do for this challenge until I had this idea of life in The Silmarillion, but told from Finwë’s perspective through his sketchbook!
These drawings are from shortly after the Elves awake at Cuiviénen, and are getting used to being alive. On the top left are two Elves sharing some fruits (and having some fun). The Elf with the bow is a sentinel who keeps watch over the settlement, because as shown above, there is something Strange in the woods that keeps the Elves alert. Then in the bottom left is a silver-haired weaver that Finwë has taken a shy liking to…
I’m really happy with how this page turned out, and I’m hoping to continue this series with more drawings from Finwë, and I hope you like them!

Legolas (1978) Art Dump
The Ralph Bakshi animated Lord of the Rings movie is weird, but Legolas’s design is peak. He’s just a funny little guy! I had a lot of fun messing around with these drawings.
I’ve also noticed that I draw Legolas a lot, but I have absolutely no consistency. I really need to settle on a design for him 😅
