Hey everyone!

I'm getting super close to being ready to submit the game for publication, so as a courtesy I wanted to let you all know that the first draft will be coming down (from DashingDon) on Tuesday, May 21. After that point, no version of the game will be accessible until it is published.

For patrons, that means your preview of the full game will begin on May 11, 14, or 19 depending on your tier, and will also be ending on the 21st.

Keep in mind that these dates are all relative to me, and I live in Australia, so if you're e.g. US-based, there's slightly more than 12 hours difference, and I'm ahead of you, so the game will be coming down early in the day on that date. (But if you get previews, they'll be earlier as well!)

Thanks, everyone, for all of your support as I stagger my way over the finish line here. It means the world. :)

#every day i think about giving money to the west end production of hadestown so i can get my hands on a fucking studio album#of their specific renditions in their voices and accents#is that how it works. at least i think if i had like a few hundred thousand dollars and connections at my disposal it would be easier#to fund whatever passion project i want to#txt#like the laika-nike production stuff where the nike ceo just keeps giving his son finances to make whatever beautiful stopmo movie#and his son produces another movie that bombs profits-wise but is so beautiful and nicely made and everyone loves#we need more 'failing' artists being given the time and support to do their craft. thats all omg#personal

#i do it a lot i find it really fun and also i hate everyone who does it#every playlist francesca is on is WRONG. <- guy who heard francesca in one of her own playlists and thought 'what the hell was op thinking'#and people overexplaining too sweet is crazy and the debate around it.... like just willfully change what it means . art is subjective..#not even a joke like hozier wrote it one way and you can think another. thats the beauty of music guys.

Hmm... I'm not gonna write mini scenes but I can summarize the vibes--

Nikke + Vethna: MC + Vethna being cute and in love, constantly getting into oddly sexually tense arguments with Nikke, and then both looking at each other like "Hey... what if we... ya know <3" and Nikke just being along for the ride before emotions smack him in the face. / OR / MC + Vethna still being cute and in love, MC + Nikke being friends, Vethna + Nikke having weird sexual tension, MC being like "you guys should kiss" and holding both their hands. CW: That being said, there absolutely is a super angsty element once it comes to the idea of Nikke joining the relationship as an equal, particularly w/ Vethna re. their cultural upbringing. So prepare for some emotional bumps there that aren't really in the other polys.

Nikke + Sabir: Nikke flirts with MC because BANTER and he thinks it's funny to piss Sabir off. Sabir being hopelessly into MC and fuming over Nikke. MC being like "you guys should kiss" and Nikke being like "yeah we should" and Sabir going "ahaha WHAT???" (Very much giving "I want two boyfriends and I want my boyfriends to be boyfriends")

Sabir + Vethna: MC owning two little purse dogs who refuse to get along and are petty with each other. It's pretty much Vethna + Sabir both being hopelessly into MC and MC being like "I have TWO hands and also you two are literally the same person why don't you go get manicures together and shop or something???"

So they're all closed triads!

Regarding Nikke: He doesn't like MC, so when MC is generally more diplomatic to him, it feels condescending to him. It's pretty much just the fact MC is more of the bigger person when they're genuine, which pisses Nikke of because he wants to fight w/ MC, not be friendly, or even tolerable. So he likes Aggressive + Sarcastic MCs more off the bat, but he'll change and open up more as their relationship changes!
