This includes the declaration of “making Judai their own” (aka the wedding contract/ketubah), the dimensional travelling (the journey from the home to the wedding full of hardship because cars and airplanes weren’t always a thing), Judai kicking the demon out of his bestie’s body (unveiling the bride), and the recap episode where everyone sits down and eats (feeding and watering the guests who suffered through the journey while bride and groom are making introductions basically).

Then getting to the actual ceremony/duel itself, literally the first thing Yubel (the demon/bride) does is pull out the wedding contract. The whole thing is exactly a wedding ceremony - the ritual is witnessed by two people who are unrelated to the bride and groom, the destruction of Yubel and Judai’s dimensions (did I mention a LOT of shit is going on?) mirroring the part of the tradition involving the destruction of the home, the breaking of the glass (the windows in duel academia break), the attacks landing mirroring a specific dance of some kind, drinking from the cup (Judai has a monster that drinks nectar from the flowers sprouting from the opponent’s hand in order to recover life points)…

I also found some extra details on TV tropes not in the linked post such as Rainbow Neos symbolizing the seven blessings (to summon one of the required materials, Rainbow Dragon, you need the seven Gem Beasts).

when the card first showed up in the manga, it was called "ダーク・ネクロフィリア" (literally just "dark necrophilia"; pronounced "dāku nekurofiria"). by the next week, it had been changed to "ダーク・ネクロフィア" ("dark necrofear"/"dāku nekurofia"). i have absolutely no clue if an official reason was ever given, and i assume they figured the reason would be fairly obvious

for anyone having trouble spotting the difference in the katakana version, it's just one kana (リ, or "ri"), but it's a much starker difference to me as a native english speaker bc "philia" and "fear" don't sound all that similar to my ears

but since you mentioned the japanese word for necrophilia, i ended up looking it up, and technically yes and no. there are four words that i found that translate to necrophilia, one of which includes the one in dark necrofear's og name, which is just the japanese pronunciation of the english word. there are also three others: 屍()姦/死姦(shikan– the second one appears to have stemmed from a misspelling, but i can't be sure), 屍()体()愛()好 (shitaiaikō), and 死()体()性()愛 (shitaiseiai)

i have no idea if he knew the meaning or not, but i imagine he probably did

Kaiba has a lot of reasons as to why he doesn’t age. Genetic coding is one thing, but the fact that he has magic running in his veins & used it in DSOD to fuck with time & space itself to get to the dimension of the dead is something else. The fact that he comes back alive should be enough to say that he’s not human at all. Since this is Kaiba though, when is anything normal with him?!

His mind is his strongest asset & this panel says it too! “Above human limits” means he isn’t normal…he’s superhuman & stronger than anybody should ever be by the standards. Mokuba is rightfully scared of what Seto is truly capable of…everyone is…but there’s no denying that he is breaking every limit to show that we are more than what society wants us to believe.

All of this pretty much true although I don’t know where 45??? comes from GX takes place like at most I’d say 7-10 years later

- DM starts in about 1996 and GX is like 2000-2001 / early 2000s

So at best I’d say Kaiba is only like in his 20s so tbh he probably not gonna look that different
