His guard came up when the motes came to be, eyeing them with suspicion before he nodded his assent, turning his gaze back to the markets. Going over a mental map was easy enough, and eventually Ophiuchus managed to mark three or four that he knew for certain hadn’t been touched since he had gotten there. “I will know what it looks like when we see it.” He answered, pointing out the stalls he hadn’t been to yet. It may be in a dormant state of being, yet the Ancient would rather have it not fall into the wrong hands.
Too many mistakes with the Allag had already been done in that regard.
All the same, he casted his senses out; seeking that familiar tug that came with the creation magicks that his people once wielded. Typically, it was easy to pick out. Yet, with all the fragments and dense aether as of late, it was a struggle to begin to even get a glimpse of it. Frustration plain on his face as Ophiuchus reopened his eyes, scowling. “It’s far too dense in here with the aether. One would think we’re practically swimming in it.” With that said, he glanced to Yang, “Shall we start looking then? It will be rectangular in shape, but carved in the stone will be glyphs of magick.”
Yang nodded her head in understanding, knowing that at least this odd masked individual would recognize it. Hard to tell just what he might be thinking wearing that white thing. But, she wasn’t one to question, this wasn’t her world and thus had no real leg to stand on here. The magic in her palm maintained, the white side of the odd elemental compass bouncing left and right slightly, before it began to shift, the light section being pulled in one direction, near where Ophir had said he hadn’t looked yet. “Well you’re on the right track it looks like.”
She looked at her companion as he spoke about dense aether. Hmm... The woman had begun to understand Aether is the ambient existence of all things here, a sort of magic and elements of them selves to make up things. At least in the languages here. “That could be due to other magical objects in the vicinity perhaps? We’ll have to do the old fashioned way here then.” Manually be looking.
So then, Rectangular, glyphs carved in, gives off magic, should have light like qualities... Yang nodded confident as she began walking towards the stalls Ophir had indicated in the first place. Eyes watching the ever slowly moving make shift compass of light and dark in her palm. Directing her towards one of the three stalls. “Hmm...” It won’t give her a direct location, just the general area, which was both a blessing and a curse. “Somewhere over there, could be for sale, could be in a crate... I’ve no idea.” With that, she marched forwards, immediately letting her eyes dart around all over the wares. Half of these were alien enough already.
