just found out that yesterday kim kardashian’s private jet produced 61 tons of CO2 emissions. over the last week drake’s private jet flights produced 182 tons of CO2 emissions. like what is even the point any more

the average person produces 7 tons of CO2 in a year. it would take the average person 9 years to produce as much CO2 as kim kardashian did in 1 day, or 26 years to produce as much CO2 as drake did in 1 week. is there actually any point in trying to go vegetarian? or cycling to work instead of driving? we will never be able to undo the damage of just private jet emissions at this rate

we could just kill them

you’re going to love again, find a job again, create art again, do what you love again, feel powerful again. you’re going to be back on track. i don’t know when, but you are going to feel like yourself again, eventually. this isn’t the end. hang in there.

people just unashamedly tweet shit like “our views on the music video is so embarrassing!!!”, “do I have to bribe you to stream?”, “we should be at 1 million views by now” bitch… go to therapy please. kpop has really destroyed and brainwashed a lot of people’s view and mindset on music and what it’s like to wholeheartedly enjoy it. listen and watch things that you enjoy not because someone has instilled this invisible DUTY for you to do so. that’s not why music was created and maybe if people acted normally we’d have a better reflection on what songs were good and which were bad :/

I think a lot about how we as a culture have turned “forever” into the only acceptable definition of success.

Like… if you open a coffee shop and run it for a while and it makes you happy but then stuff gets too expensive and stressful and you want to do something else so you close it, it’s a “failed” business. If you write a book or two, then decide that you don’t actually want to keep doing that, you’re a “failed” writer. If you marry someone, and that marriage is good for a while, and then stops working and you get divorced, it’s a “failed” marriage.

The only acceptable “win condition” is “you keep doing that thing forever”. A friendship that lasts for a few years but then its time is done and you move on is considered less valuable or not a “real” friendship. A hobby that you do for a while and then are done with is a “phase” - or, alternatively, a “pity” that you don’t do that thing any more. A fandom is “dying” because people have had a lot of fun with it but are now moving on to other things.

I just think that something can be good, and also end, and that thing was still good. And it’s okay to be sad that it ended, too. But the idea that anything that ends is automatically less than this hypothetical eternal state of success… I don’t think that’s doing us any good at all.

for everyone who watched the ending of 2521 whether you loved it, hated it, or have no opinion i would like to make a point that the drama missed.

yes, your youth doesn’t last forever, but don’t give up on it either.

maybe your friendships or relationships won’t last, but don’t let them go so easily. and if you have a chance to reach out in the future, do it.

don’t let it just become an acquaintanceship where you only see each other at funerals or high school reunions.

don’t let yourself be lonely as you enter adulthood. let the people who loved you then love you now.

some will flow away but there will be others that stay for good.

life is what you make of it, not what others tell you it will be like.

yes, youth itself doesn’t last forever, but that doesn’t mean the things you experienced and the people you loved won’t either.
