Help Me Get Justice

The Ottawa Hospital General Campus in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, left me without a shower for a month. I’m wheelchair bound and dependant on my caregivers. They refused to give me a toothbrush when I asked, and said brushing hair wasn’t ‘a nurses job.’ I got a recording of them saying they wouldn’t give me a shower, but in the recording they offered me only a partial bed bath.

When they caught me recording, they quickly took my phone and started driving my wheelchair without my consent, so I ran over the security guards toe. They then gave me an injection and put me in 2 point restraints on my bed. A day later, they left me with a blocked catheter for 3 hours and watched me scream in pain as my urine flow was obstructed and my bladder started spasming. I now have a severe infection and skin break down everywhere on my behind. Furthermore, a nurse harassed me for being nonbinary saying ‘God doesn’t have a place in heaven for trans people.’

Where is the humanity in that hospital? I’m only human and I was there because I was struggling emotionally. Please help me share this story worldwide. Justice must be served.
