Back with more TRC after a little while there! Needed to take a break to refill my juices So why not return with my bad girl trio? I had a lot of fun pushing their proportions and shapes to really make them stand out from each other. Not redesigns. Just pushing proportions. I'm done redesigning and doing minor tweaks to them all the time.

My Little Pony Gen 5.0

Tried out a new brush for the inking process and I'm honestly here for it And I finally drew the group with Flicker, Hitch's adoptive daughter who's also a dragon and Hitch doesn't know what he's doing but he's trying his best to be a good dad. Plus Flicker gets five awesome aunties to look up to. Its giving Steven Universe kinda lol.

Might finish this, might not. Heavily based on the old Lauren Faust sketches in prep for G4. Including Flicker, Sparky's replacement/stand in. Because Sparky as a name is awful and i don't understand how that was greenlit.

Marshall and Posey are the Maritime Bay nuisances. Unpleasant bullies who like to lord over others. Kinda slay

Marshall replaces Sprout as the big bad of the movie. Tbh I do love Sprout so I'm keeping him as a separate character. But he just doesn't work as a serious threat imo. Marshall would hopefully have more sway over Maritime Bay, as a giant brute that everyone's afraid of. Maybe more afraid of him that other pony tribes?

His design is based heavily on some G5 concept art, of this big pony who I guess eventually became Sprout

Posey's not too different from her canon g5 version, honestly she's pretty solid. I just made her Marshall's wife so she can lord over her "authority" as the chief's wife. In a "do you know who I am?" kinda way. You know the type.

Despite them being the worst, Idk I find them kinda cute. Maybe I'm the problem

I gave Pekeo (Misty) her horn back. Her horn being broken off ultimately wasn't necessary to her story I don't think. I'm not sure, I'm still playing around with it. But it was also maybe a bit too edgy for the story I'm going for, and we don't wanna step on Tempest's shoes too much lol.

And lemme fucking tell you, gamers, Hitch and Misty/Pekeo were so DIFFICULT to redesign like damn. Every time I thought I had something, I realised I hated it five minutes later. If not for some help from @tvaccaro I'd still be slamming my face against my keyboard

So at this point I've changed them so much, they might as well have new names. They're more ocs based on canon characters, very much like TRC.

And tbh I never liked their canon names anyway. Like they usually don't say anything about the character, or are way too close to common human names for comfort.

So new names to go with new designs. Except for like Gizmo and Buttons they've hardly changed since my second pass at them.

Honestly I love her!

She was a great addition to the cast, both as a villain and then hero.

I also really liked that she isn't the 7th member of the Mane 6. Instead cultivating her own group of friends. Love that!

We don't know about who Sunny's canon mother is, and her dad died of disney parent so I'm not left with much to work with here

So I doodled up a character I'm naming "Sandy Starscout" Ya very classic tragic forbidden lovers trope, both from different pony tribes but were brought together by love.

Will flesh that out more later lol, but I'm thinking Sandy spent some time posing as an Earth Pony in Maritime Bay before being discovered and banished, forced to leave her beloved husband and daughter behind. And has since been hoping and dreaming for things to get better so she can reunite with her family.
