As long, therefore, as I am surrounded by danger and the uncertainty of death, so long must I believe in Christ, my Life; and this means my whole time on earth. ~Martin Luther, "Sermons on the Gospel of St. John" in Luther's Works, vol. 24, 51.

what is this show and where can i watch it

@buggie-hagen The show is Dundeon Meshi or Delicious in Dungeon and it's on Netflix. I'm 1/4 of the way through and Laios is a delight. It's about a band of adventurers going through a dungeon for [reason I can't give as it spoils plot] and are eating the monsters they kill to save on money and not have to leave the dungeon repeatedly to restock stores.

It's basically, anime D&D where the players are eating what they kill. It's hilarious. Definitely recommend trying it (the show, not killing monsters and eating them).

Sounds delightful. I want to watch, haha.

This will have to be a future endeavor bc I currently don't have Netflix. I did for a super long time bc my friend shared his account. but netflix doesn't allow that anymore.

Give God your unreconciled and irreconcilable heart. And God will give you a new heart. ~Dietrich Bonhoeffer, "Ambassadors for Christ" in The Collected Sermons of Dietrich Bonhoeffer, ed. Isabel Best, 93.

We urge you, however, to confess and express your needs, not for the purpose of performing a work but to hear what God wants to say to you. The Word or absolution, I say, is what you should concentrate on, magnifying and cherishing it as a great and wonderful treasure to be accepted with all praise and gratitude. ~Large Catechism 6:22

But you must do [confession] for this reason: to lament your need and allow yourself to be helped so that you may attain a joyful heart and conscience. ~Large Catechism 6:19

We should not go to confession as if we wanted to perform a magnificent work to present to God, but simply to accept and receive something from him. ~Large Catechism 6:18

Note, then, as I have often said, that confession consists of two parts. The first is our work and act, when I lament my sin and desire comfort and restoration for my soul. The second is a work that God does, when he absolves me of my sins through the Word placed on the lips of another person. ~Large Catechism 6:15

O dear Lord Jesus Christ, hold a council of your own and redeem your people through your glorious return! The pope and his people are lost. They do not want you. Help us who are poor and miserable, who sigh to you and earnestly seek you, according to the grace you have given us through your Holy Spirit, who with you and the Father lives and reigns, forever praised. Amen. ~Smalcald Articles, Preface:15

After [Pilate] had said this, he went out to the Jews again and told them, "I find no case against him. But you have a custom that I release someone for you at the Passover. Do you want me to release for you the King of the Jews?" They shouted in reply, "Not this man, but Barabbas!" Now Barabbas was a bandit. ~John 18:38-40

Jesus answered, "You say that I am a king. For this I was born, and for this I came into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone who belongs to the truth listens to my voice." Pilate asked him, "What is truth?" ~John 18:37-38

Pilate replied, "I am not a Jew, am I? Your own nation and the chief priests have handed you over to me. What have you done?" Jesus answered, "My kingdom is not from this world. If my kingdom were from this world, my followers would be fighting to keep me from being handed over to the Jews. But as it is, my kingdom is not from here." Pilate asked him, "So you are a king?" ~John 18:35-37

Pilate said to them, "Take him yourselves and judge him according to your law." The Jews replied, "We are not permitted to put anyone to death." (This was to fulfill what Jesus had said when he indicated the kind of death he was to die.) ~John 18:31-32

So Pilate went out to them and said, "What accusation do you bring against this man?" They answered, "If this man were not a criminal, we would not have handed him over to you." ~John 18:29-30

One of the slaves of the high priest, a relative of the man whose ear Peter had cut off, asked, "Did I not see you in the garden with him?" Again Peter denied it, and at that moment the rooster crowed. ~John 18:26-27
