Carmine would be following Kutsu with his eyes, though it looked like the eldest Shade was in fact going over his maps again. 'Damn...' He'd think to himself. 'Kutsu is pudgy for a shadowling but... it's kinda cute...' he then paused, shaking his head. What the fuck?! Where did THAT come from?! This was his brother he was thinking about, ick!

Oh. Oh this was interesting. Right. Interesting. that was exactly what Shadow would call this little piece of his fantasies brought to life. Really, who was writing these things and sending them to the shade? To be quite honest, Shadow was just glad Vaati hadn't intercepted this one. Of course, this was was tucked away with the others in a secret spot in Shadow's room. wouldn't be good if Vaati found it, would it? Perhaps this would be more of a... Night time read.

Shadow stared at the parchment a delivery hawk had brought, face growing redder and redder. He'd read it once already and quickly ran to hide in his room to read it in more... Private quarters. After all. This was something he had fantasized about himself. Seeing it put to paper just solidified it in Shadow's mind.

"Graaahhh!" Carmine held his head, wings beating in pain as his magic fought to consume him, to burst forth and lash out at everyone around him. He told Twilight to get back. He told him! But his little brother didn't listen. Looking back, Carmine would know that twilight only wanted to help. Only wanted to make his brother feel better... But in not listening, Carmine's magic sensed another's power. Shadow tendrils lashed out at twilight, seeking to wrap him up and drain the younger of his magic. Had Vaati not intervened, it likely would have succeeded. So what had caused all this? Another cursed book? A test Vaati had conducted? No. A spell launched at Carmine by a Hylian mage that backfired. Instead of sapping Carmine's strength, in amplified it. You would think a mage would know better than to hurl shadow magic as a Shadowling.
