tbt one of my favorites pieces of my last year Norse mythology serie, I grew a lot as an Artist with it, I was so afraid of painting water before and I'm so proud of the sand texture and movement I managed to achieved un this piece. The original is sold, it Is now far away north, Viking's lands in elder times, but I have prints and Notebooks on my redbubble oh yeah btw thank you kind soul who purchased a Notebook with this illustration on it.

"Hail to Njord, Master of Ships!

Hail to Njord, Lord of Vanaheim!

Hail to Njord, loving Husband!

Hail to Njord, devoted Father!

God of temperance and even-handed care,

Who nourishes all within His hall,

Nourish our hearts, and minds and spirits,

That we may love You better and more deeply,

As the ocean loves the sand

And the sand hungers for the tide."

Things I’ve Learned

- don’t drink water in the dark

- don’t look out windows at night

- if you feel it watching don’t look for it just hurry on your way, but to be safe if you feel running for some reason would insult This One then don’t

- take only dead wood from forests, fallen berries and flowers are safe too, the living things are Not For You

- NEVER stomp on the mushrooms

- stay on the animal paths

- leave an offering in the woods to be left in peace during your walks

- the hills and fields may seem open and empty but They Never Are

- listening to the wind is fine but you should never reply to it, if you feel it shift it’s time to go

- if your dog won’t go near it neither should you

- if It’s in your room then shut your eyes or otherwise don’t acknowledge It, It will eventually lose interest

- ghosts can and will lie to you

- don’t give anything your full name

- if you feel weak, don’t rest - leave

- your shadow doesn’t always belong to you

- check your seats before entering your vehicle, do not look back for ANYTHING after

- better yet keep things in your seats

- generally if you suddenly feel you shouldn’t look in a certain direction, be in a certain place, or do a certain thing then please trust your gut

Norse Ambiance

Any of you heard of ambient-mixer.com? It’s a site that lets you create and listen to all kinds of ambient soundscapes. They’ve got a ton of stuff on there.

Here’s the Norse Mythology ambients I’ve made over the past year or two to listen to while I’m drawing/working:

Feel free to listen to these while you draw/read/write/meditate/study/battle the demons of anxiety that assault us all/cook/clean/etc… Or modify them to suit your needs. I might make some more in the future (like Folkvangr or something to do with Fenrir), and I’ll add them to this post.

Oh my gods 😤🥰😍 bless your soul

Soups and Broths in Magick

I am rather new to the witch community on tumblr but I have been interested in witchcraft for years. I have come upon a reoccurring thing, many of my friends I wish to magically aid through teas and herbal brews, do not like the taste of tea. I have found that mixing herbal blends or herbs representing what you wish to occur into soups and broths work just as well! In fact if you choose the right soup you can get sometimes better results I have found. Soup mimics tea by being easily drank and can be served warm and hot, which I find very comforting.

First it is important to choose a soup or broth that goes well taste wise with the herbs you wish to use. You want it to taste pleasant for yourself or the one you are providing it to. Though, try to find a soup or stock or broth that corresponds with what you wish to achieve with the herbs to further strengthen and increase the outcome you wish.

A short list of correspondences:

Chicken Broth/Stock: Uncrossing, new growth, fertility, sacrifice, New beginnings, rebirth

Turkey Broth/Stock: Close connections to Earth, generosity, inspiration, bounty, blessings

Beef Broth/Stock: New beginnings, femininity/female power, fertility, strength, balance

Pork Broth/Stock or Bacon: Intelligence, good luck, prosperity, curiousity, discovering new things

Fish Broth/Stock: Close connections to Water, health, improving oneself, the unconcious mind, awareness, fertility, good luck, wishes, change

Shellfish/Clam/Mussel Broth/Stock/Soup/Chowder: Protection, stopping lies/gossip/rumors, removal or treatment of stubbornness, honesty, truth, close connections to both Water and Earth, living a natural life

Shrimp Broth/Stock: love, abundance, fertility, trying new things, moving forward

Cheese base/Milk base soup/Chowder: Beauty, femininity, love, self-love, purification, rebirth

Tomato Soup: Protection, prosperity, love, uncrossing, femininity, romance and passion, negation of negativity and evil

Pumpkin Soup: Healing, prosperity, love, protection, granting wishes

Squash Soup: Psychic awareness, spiritual enlightenment

Corn Chowder: connections to the sun, luck, prosperity, abundance

Onion Soup: protection, keep evil away, healing, banishing, stability, exorcism, money, lust, and ends bad habits

Pea Soup: Kindness, connections with Air

Mushroom Soup: psychic enhancement, connections to Earth, longevity, strength, immortality

Curry/Curry Soups: banishing, healing, prosperity, protection from negativity

Soups with Noodles: Longevity, uncrossing

Soups with Rice: prosperity, blessing, money and wealth, security, good fortune to come

Soups with Barley: Love, Healing, Protection Hopefully this will be helpful for any witches who are not very big fans of the taste of teas or for anyone else for that matter. I would love to hear or see any other suggestions for tea replacements or other soups that could be used. This came straight out of my Grimoire and I hope to add more of it to this site soon. Blessed be everyone!

Loki and Sigyn by Iren Horrors
In Norse mythology, Sigyn is a goddess of fidelity and is the wife of Loki. Sigyn stays with Loki during his punishment. He is bound by the guts of his own son, the only fetters that he cannot destroy, and the venom of a snake drips onto his face. She holds out a bowl to catch the dripping venom. However, when the bowl becomes full she leaves to pour it out. As a result, Loki is described as shaking so violently that the planet shakes, and this process repeats until he breaks free, setting Ragnarök into motion.
