«…Yeah, I get it.» Blackguard sighs heavily, tiredly. She had been so tense for so long that her frame felt like it was about to fall apart at any given moment. Truth be told, she wasn’t sure she would mind if it did. Maybe then she could finally catch a break.
«He’ll be fine though. I promise. No one is gonna take him and he’s not gonna disappear on us again. I won’t let it happen.»
+{ Okay. Okay. }- Her voice cracks slightly as she says this.
+{ It’s just... after all that’s happened... You’d think the world would give you a break. That it would leave you alone after all this terrible stuff, instead of throwing more awful things at you and everyone you care about. }-
A sigh escapes her. +{ I... I guess I’m in disbelief over it. But at the same time I feel like it’s too good to be true. Like I can’t trust it. But... But I guess we just gotta make sure that we’re together and that we don’t lose each other again. }-
Another sigh escapes her, more tired-sounding than before, and she goes quiet.

«Rigel isn’t going anywhere either, so you take all the time you need okay? I’m sure he’ll still wanna visit you whenever you’re ready.»
+{ I hope so. It’s been so long. }-
She is silent for a moment, her words feeling stuck in her throat. +{ I want to see him as soon possible. I just-- I don’t know how to describe this but after all that happened to Rigel, to us, I feel like I have to see him. As.. Like if I don’t I might not ever seen him again. }-
Another pause. +{ I-- If... If that makes sense. }-

| Starflare’s indignance stung. Yet despite the urge to answer it with some of his own, Arkaitimus kept his burning stare locked on his twitching claws, refusing to look the distraught youngling’s way. His spark churned in it’s chamber, aggravated by the torrent of emotions flooding and striking against his field. It pained him to listen and do nothing to soothe his friend. However the prince did just that; remaining firmly rooted to his chair and ‘calmly’ cycling through his vents as Starflare wailed. | | Most would call him cruel for what he was doing [and if the look his sentry was giving him from the other side of the room was anything to go by, that trend would no doubt continue]. But, Arkaitimus knew his friend could be.. volatile when she got emotional. And the last thing she, or rather any, of them needed was for this incident to escalate into something bigger then need be. || Not to mention the prince himself wasn’t so sure he’d be able to keep his composure for long once he had her in his immediate vicinity. |

She doesn’t see him at first, mainly because of all the tears clouding her vision. Another was that she was so self-absorbed into her hysteria that she felt that nothing was really real. It couldn’t be. Not after all that has happened. It felt as if the universe had betrayed her, her family, and her friends.
Not fair.
She goes on and on, weeping like a small sparkling that had lost one of their parents, shivering with anguish.

| Despite knowing the question was coming, Arkaitimus’ talons still tighten against his desk, adding another set of scratches to the worn, polished top. He didn’t have to listen to Blackguard’s broadcast to know what was going on. He had known about the tragedy that had befallen his dear rotormech and Rigel long before she decided to tell everyone else. But Starflare on the other hand… | | He considers the seekerling for a moment, watching her out of the corner of his optic before turning his gaze back to the stack of datapads in front of him. | “…. I did,” | he replies flatly. | “I take it you did as well?”
She is silent for a long time, not only because she wasn’t sure what to say, but also because more coolant was welling at the corners of her optics, threatening to fall down her facia once again. Her grip on the door frame beside her tightens, blunt fingers lightly scratching the metal.
She was angry. Mostly at herself, but some of that anger was directed at her friend as well, albeit a small amount.
“Did.. did it really happen that long ago?” She asks him with a shaky voice. “I... I left for New Darkmount just before that... Ark...”
As she tries to cycle air through her systems in an attempt to calm herself, Starflare can already feel the tears falling down her face again. She tries to wipe away the tears with her free servo, breathing shakily as she did so.
“Who-- who could want to take him away? Why would anyone want to take Rigel away from Blackguard? From us?” She cries quietly, slowly getting hysteric. “That’s not-- that’s not fair! It’s not fucking fair, Ark!”
She repeats the last words several times before they dissolve into weeps and whimpers, whole frame shaking in anger and grief.
It just wasn’t fair.

She had been ignoring her messages for a little while, save for Impact’s messages to her.
But when she hears the all-call from Blackguard, Starflare loses her grip on the datapad, the tablet clattering to the floor of her guest room.
Was it true? Was it really true?
She could feel coolant tears prick at the edges of her optics, making her vision slightly blurry as she attempted to wipe them away. No. It wasn’t true. It couldn’t be! Especially after all they went through with Tarn.
If only she’d known sooner, then she would’ve gone back to the Nemesis, to Crossfire to see Blackguard in this time of unfortunate events.
But she can’t. Not now. Not yet. She still needed to be there for her carrier, in case something happened or he woke up.
“I’m so... sorry, Blackguard.” She wept quietly, still trying to wipe away the tears streaming down her facia. “I’m-- I’m sorry...”
Still sobbing quietly, she sat onto the berth, her pedes dangling slightly above the floor. Soon enough, Starflare pushed herself into the corner, forcing her wings to spread out and make her back ache.
She didn’t care though, it helped her ground herself a little.
But it would be a long, long while before she would be ready to talk to anyone.

He got hurt real bad. :c But he’s doing better thanks to my friend! He’s been there for a while and I haven’t had a chance to see him until fairly recently. Last time I made him an origami bouquet of flowers. I hope he’ll like them. :0c
