ShiMayu... kids?
Hi. I was wondering one thing, I see a lot of very beautiful fanarts on this tumblr, in particular on the couple “Shimayu”, the couple that would form Shimon Ikaruga and Mayura Otomi / Amawaka. So, about this couple, I have not much to say. I think it is possible, very possible, even that he sees a day in the manga ‘Twin Star Exorcists “seen how the two characters still look close, casually … In more everyone seems to imply that, and then as seen that the only other person for whom Mayura seems to have feelings is already taken … By cons I wonder what it would give if we saw, for example, the children that would have this couple. Could it be a child who could be chosen by Byakko? Or rather by Suzaku? Would he look totally like Mayura without looking like Shimon, as Mayura only looks like his mother rather than his father? So about your wonders, first of all I’d like to make a thing clear because I’m not sure I understood it correctly at first (english isn’t my first language sorry in advance! be free to skip it, I start talking at the bold writting) Mayura isn’t in love with Rokuro, not anymore. I’m pretty sure everyone in the fandom knows (even if the manga didn’t said so) that Mayura had a crush on Rokuro on her childhood, and pretty much lasted until middle school (14 years old) because on the timelapse between the 2 years of training and the actual moment when Mayura and Rokuro went to the island, Mayura was moving on about her feelings to Rokuro (cause’ in summary, Benio’s character is strong on Rokuro’s development) and the Shimayu novel confirmed how in the actual timeline, Mayura sees Rokuro as a goal, full of respect, the person who admires; this ship is still in their beginnings but is really strong, full of strong potential and Sukeno sensei seems to really support it so the shimayu fandom is having a great time. SO! with that cleared up off my mind let’s proceed to headcanon time!
I’m not sure if the child would be chosen by Suzaku or Byakko because I’m pretty confident that when the child is born, would happen aaaaafter the war is over; aka when everyone is happy ever after. We don’t know too much about Suzaku yet so I personally would love Byakko to be who interacts with the child. And about the looks, seems that the Otomi genes lead in the family so I wouldn’t be surprised if the child (if is a girl, would look 99% like Mayura) but hey! Ikaruga genes are really strong too! (so we could have an smol Shimon if is a boy?) so how about 50-50; I’d like a girl who has similar facial features to Mayu, fluffy hair as well but with the red stunning hair and deep eyes like Shimon?
And about the grandpa’s reaction.. fufufu, Seigen isn’t the mooost expresive dad but since is one of the most loving papa bear in the world, I’m pretty sure Seigen would react like this, all nervous:
And Hoji would probably would be screaming a lot hahaha, stuff like “CALL ME GRANDPA! CALL ME GRANDPA!!!” He has a strong vibrant personality so I bet he’d be extremely happy, he’s such a good man :’)
