As tratativas estão em estágio avançado, embora as duas partes não tenham fixado uma data-limite para a conclusão do acordo.Policiais e militares começaram a conversar sobre o uso compartilhado dos vants da PF há alguns meses. No último dia 14, uma comissão de militares chegou a fazer uma visita à base de São Miguel do Iguaçu (PR) para checar as condições das aeronaves e dos demais equipamentos necessários ao seu funcionamento. Depois da inspeção, surgiram rumores de que a polícia faria uma doação à Força Aérea Brasileira (FAB ) e, com isso, abandonaria de vez o projeto, considerado polêmico desde que foi lançado, em 2008, na gestão do ex-diretor da PF Luiz Fernando Corrêa.Num ofício encaminhado ao Tribunal de Contas da União, o Sindicato dos Policiais Federais do Distrito Federal pediu que o TCU interfira e impeça a “doação”. Os equipamentos fariam parte do patrimônio da polícia e, por isso, não poderia ser cedidos aos militares.Portal Militar. Na quarta-feira, procurada pelo GLOBO, a direção da Polícia Federal confirmou as negociações com a Aeronáutica, mas negou, de forma enfática, que haverá doação de equipamentos. A Course in Miracles as an Accelerated Path to Healing

Enjoy this excerpt from the renowned A Course in Miracles teacher, David Hoffmeister. David is known for his uncompromising, yet gentle and humorous dialogue, that can lead to accelerated healing.

As a young person, I never had a thought of being a miracle worker and I would say most people that get into A Course in Miracles when asked as a child, what do you want to be when you grow up? Do not say,  Oh I want to be a miracle worker!  I do not think I have met one A Course in Miracles student yet who knew this as a young child.  It is very, very rare. Yet when we open up to it and we open up to being used by the Holy Spirit, then we open ourselves more and more to being available to be used by Him. Then it is like a quickening that occurs. You get more into an accelerated path of the healing.  And open to accepting that healing that has already happened.

When we make no exceptions and work consistently with A Course in Miracles, then we begin to see the miracle is always available for us.  We learn to choose the miracle consistently  and then our perception lightens up, really lightens up and gets very bright and then finally disappears. And you get to see how deep this goes. But we have to get all the way back to releasing everything about linear time and all aspects of linear time to awaken from the dream. So it is not about a personal healing or even about our personal life going smoothly.  

There is even a part in the Teachers manual in A Course in Miracles where Jesus talks about three levels of teaching and the third one is a lifelong teaching/learning partnership. He says "they may be hostile to each other perhaps for life," which guns down any sense of soul mate thing. Oh that is great I have a lifelong learning partner that is going to help me forgive the ego and they may be hostile, perhaps for life.  Oh thank you very much Jesus, that is very enticing.  I can't wait to get into my lifelong hostile teaching/learning relationship. What it is though is the ego is deep and if he is giving a metaphor of a lifelong partnership, he says and should they decide to learn, it is the perfect lesson for them and can be learned. It is very optimistic and hopeful but he is not trying to paint it like the soulmate sites do. He is saying this could be intense and perhaps for life and that is how deep the ego runs.  And I think certainly Bill and Helen, the scribe and the collaborator of A Course in Miracles; nobody could say  that they had an easy ride of it.  It was very very disjunctive. Particularly for Helen but I think for Bill too.

It’s very much like when you go to a movie theatre, you are going to watch a movie. It's already been shot. It’s in the can. It’s being projected. You can't change what is happening in the movie. Well, they actually are coming out with movies now where you can, but for this metaphor, we are talking about the last decade of films, black and white. etc. You can't change it.

People do talk to the screen. Like, Don't go down that hallway. Don't go in there! Don't go in there. Don't. Get away from him. You know it’s a bunch of images on a screen but they are talking to them as if they were real people. That's the mesmerism of this whole world; forget that you are dreaming, watching a movie and become so identified with the characters, you really believe that they are real characters that can hear you.

Jesus talks of that in A Course in Miracles. "You talk to those who are not there,” he says in his A Course in Miracles Workbook, “and those who are not there seem to answer you," even in the most simple things. Hi, how are you doing? Umm, not bad. Aha! Ego’s sitting back there going, Ah, I gotcha again! You think you are having a real conversation with somebody there and you're just asleep and dreaming, watching a movie and forgotten completely that you made the movie up and you are not even a character in that movie. Just like when you are watching a movie in the theatre, you don't expect the characters or the movie to change.

I went to see The Time Traveler's Wife and instead of just talking about the movie and your reactions and responses, you say, I just decided to play the movie out differently. In my version of the movie The Time Traveler’s Wife, they get married and they go to the planet Zorbo and they live forever. But that's not my version of the move. I decided to do it a lot differently. I had him disappear at the end ... da,da. We are talking about it as if it’s a movie and it’s been shot and the movie is the movie. You can't change the movie. But again, how different this is from everyday experience when you are trying to fix and change the movie. Or under the guise of making a happy dream or a better dream, you work very hard to try to change the dream, to have a better life.

You might say that relationships are designed so that specialness, as described in A Course in Miracles, will come up into awareness and then you have another opportunity to make another choice. You have an opportunity to deal with it when it comes up. But you can’t really avoid it. Um, it has been pushed out of awareness already so it has been avoided already. So if you trying to avoid what you have already avoided, you know that’s not going to help…anything. So we’re all about encouraging it actually, encouraging it to come up and with the mind training you start to notice it more. You know you can notice it. And then as you are noticing it, there usually is a sense of ‘Oh golly…I can’t believe I am still so attracted to that. You know again it’s in my face. Again I see it, oh I thought I had seen the last of that. But here it is again and again.’ Not to discourage yourself. Not to fall into depression with it but to see the pattern for what it is and really get beneath the pattern. You know you’re really wanting it to come up. So that is why it seems to get acted out.

And as you are identified with the body, then you believe you’ve done wrong or you’ve lost your way for the hundredth time or whatever.  And the Spirit is like going ‘No no no!  Don’t go that way, don’t go down that road and start concluding. Just look at the pattern, just look at the thoughts and see what they’re connected to in terms of this ego believe system’. And little by little through miracles and contrast experiences we are shown that don’t really want those egoic patterns. That is just unworthiness acting out again and again and again. After a while you do start to see it without biting the hook, you know without going for it. And there is a sense of empowerment when you can just notice it at first and watch it and watch it. And then you are less hooked into it, you are less emotionally invested in it. Then eventually those hooks and those thoughts and beliefs they just fade from awareness and they are gone. You are no longer haunted by them. They cannot even enter. Your mind gets so riveted on the truth… they cannot even enter. And you experience the inner peace described in A Course in Miracles.

A Course in Miracles and Awakening by David Hoffmeister

Like the Horatio Alger stories, "Pull yourself up from your disadvantaged past and make something of yourself." That was even an army slogan as I was growing up, "Be all that you can be." Oh great. I think I have better aspirations than going around gunning down people in other countries, but still it was the whole thing. It was no different than trying to improve your life, improve your circumstances, and all the work and all the energy that goes into striving to have a better life. All of it's for naught because still you are dreaming a dream and if you actually begin to grasp this, you will soon get over self-improvement. You will soon get over trying to make the world a better place and all the work; just think of the social services, end world hunger, what do you mean? Who invented world hunger? That's part of a dream. There's nuclear proliferation, the fight to save the whales, save the dolphins, all of the things that people try to do—eat better; go organic. What does it matter? It’s a dream. It's’ a dream! It is not going to help.

The only thing you can do with a nightmare is to forgive it. See it without judgment. See it simultaneous instead of linear and wake up from it. This is how A Course in Miracles describes awakening. And go back to your eternal nature, which is pure bliss. People say, That sounds boring! It's too boring. But it’s not boring. I am telling you, it is not boring. It is joyful. It is not boring at all.

We get words like, I am more peaceful than I was before. I will tell you. Nothing is a matter of more or less. Everything is absolute. You know, the old thing that used to come from Christianity, “It’s all or nothing. It's all or nothing.” I used to hate that. I'd say, Aw, come on. All or nothing? Black and white? Guess what? Who gets to eat crow? It really is, “All or nothing.”

And truth is not a matter of degrees, little increments, and moments. The truth is true and only the truth is true and we start to see when you finally make it back to the Beyond all Idols section in A Course in Miracles, way towards the back of the text, Jesus starts off the section, “What is an idol? Do you think you know?” He asks the question, and he answers, “An idol is for more of something. It does not matter more of what.” Even peace of mind. It does not matter more of what.

So the awakening is not in the script. The awakening is a change in the perspective on the script from linear to simultaneous. So that is what we are talking about.

A lot of times, people will ask, Well, what about Enlightened Beings? What about Jesus? That seemed to be in the script. There seemed to be a point where he started talking like he wasn't a human being anymore. “Before Abraham was, I am.” But remember, it’s the man. The man wasn't enlightened. The man is just a mask. Enlightenment isn't male or female. Enlightenment isn't masculine or feminine. Those are still dualistic concepts that are projected onto the screen and enlightenment itself has nothing to do with masculine or feminine or male or female. A Course in Miracles is your best source on this.
