So I’ve recently purchased a Bandai Perfect Grade model kit of Neon Evangelion Genesis’ EVA Test 01. I just recently watched Eva with my boyfriend @enduserx and it was awesome. So.

I wanted to go whole hog with a nice model kit. This one I am going to paint up with my airbrush as well (you don’t need to paint model kits, but I think it adds extra life to the pieces and gives some character to your model. Your choice though).

So where I’ve started is separation the pieces from their plastic ruts. You can choose to use cutters if the pieces are tougher to take out, these ones were fairly easy to take out though.

What I like to do is label ziploc bags with each letter of each plastic rut and place the separated pieces in their designated bags. Don’t mix them up, otherwise it just makes your life harder. (Picture 4)

After you have your pieces separated, take some sanding paper and lightly sand off any extra rut pieces still attached to your pieces.

I’ll leave it at that for now and come back to this little tutorial when I make more progress. Thanks for tuning in!

A new figure for my collection. Love that big goofy fire lizard dragon. Probably the only Amiibo I’ll own, but hey it’s neat.

Figure Day

So I’ve just recently begun collecting figures within the past couple of years. This collection isn’t mine per se, but my boyfriend’s. We basically have the same taste so a lot of figures seen above are either from the same game, show, comic etc as I would have in mine.

I helped relieve the sausage fest that was happening in his collection with a new Sailor Uranus figure (S.H. Figurarts). I think she’s the cutest of the bunch, but I’m biased because she has short hair and ladies who have short hair and style are always good in my books. We’re going to try and collect the whole set!

I have a few figures from the Metal Gear Solid series (Figure Arts KAI) specifically Master Miller and Liquid Snake *brothhaaaaaaaa*. I own a couple of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure figures (Medicos and Di Molto Bene) specifically Kira Yoshikage and Killer Queen.

Along my miscellaneous collection, are some Jurassic World dinosaur bookends (Universal), a large T-1000 (Hot Toys), THE best (imho) Harley Quinn figure out there (DC Direct).

I’m always on the lookout for more figures to add though. Except I’m really picky about the quality. The painting has to be well done, the faces have to look right, and the poses have to stay dynamic and true to whichever character you have. You wouldn’t want to see a figure of Silent Hill’s Pyramid Head posed to look like he’s rollerblading right? Although… I would appreciate that 😆

So tell me if you have any figures. Do you keep them in their original boxes? Do you play with them or pose them differently?

Day 1

Kimbos Korner

I purchased a stormtrooper kit a few months ago. Yesterday it arrived and I can not tell you how excited I am to build this. Each piece comes plasticasted, with fully built helmet and blaster holster.

Right now I’m in the progress of separating the armor pieces from the scrap molding plastic. For this step I required a utility knife to score a line, some plier grips to bend the plastic along that line, and a wood sand block to clean up the jagged edges.

After all the pieces have been separated and sanded, I can get to the gluing and addition of velcro straps. Keeping in mind I have a much smaller body than a standard Stormtrooper, I will be making adjustments.

As a child I always thought the Star Wars films were fantastic, but man, that Stormtrooper is the coolest looking dude. So here I am, being able to fulfill my dreams and fly through space. Maybe…

The Last Tenant is an (non)interactive adventure in the style of classic 90’s point-and-clicks. Peculiarities and all.

After moving into a new house, our protagonist finds himself haunted by a mysterious dark presence. What does it want? Is our protagonist in danger?
