"Sure, why the hell not?" Dius shrugged. "Worst case, we get to his place, bug him, have a good time, don't get laid, but still a good time."

Mav nodded. "My thoughts too pretty much." He pulled up his omnitool and sent a text off to Sin.

"More honest, you mean?" Dius sat up next to him.

"That too. It's one thing if I'm the drunk one, you get me?" He swung his legs over the side of the bed. "I've got his number, want me to text him?"

"I think you intimidate him too but I think he could be attracted to that kinda thing." Mav sat up, leaning back on his hands. "Yeah, just a friendly offer. He takes it or he doesn't."

"That might be the best way to go," Dius agreed. "He might even agree, after a few drinks."

"He might agree without a few drinks and that's more fun." Mav winked over his shoulder at Dius.

"Hm... well... First off. I do think you should talk to him first. You two have a different connection. I think I intimidate him just a little, and I don't want him to get defensive. But you think that's the best shot? Just ask if he's up for it, no strings attached?"

"I think you intimidate him too but I think he could be attracted to that kinda thing." Mav sat up, leaning back on his hands. "Yeah, just a friendly offer. He takes it or he doesn't."

"Maybe." Dius was chuckling under his breath. "So how would you go about it? What'd you say to him?"

"I'd reiterate to him that I think he's good lookin' but I'd change my wordin'. I'd point out that you think he's good lookin' too." Mav reached up and scratched under his jaw. "Then maybe I make a joke about it, maybe I give you some kinda signal to seriously offer it. Reckon we should play off each other. What you thinkin'?"

Dius snorted. "Whatever else?"

Mav shrugged. "Maybe our first dual seduction attempt goes really well. You never know."

"Well, we gotta start pulling at some end," Dius reasoned.

"That's true," Mav laid there for a moment or two, arm behind his head. "...You feel up to a night of gettin' to know Sin via alcohol and whatever else?"

"Almost like she doesn't exist out of her work-role," Dius hummed, shifting the arm he had around Mav. Coming to play with a fold in the slight agent's shirt.

"It's almost exactly like that." Mav said and gave a little chirp of permission when Dius started playing with his shirt. "We've run a complete background on all of 'em, right? We been here so damned long I can't remember."

"Yeah," Dius said. "Lina's came back like most of them. She's lived here most her life. Gone to the same school that Isabella's in. She dipped out for a few years after high school. Came back. Worked here and there around town, until she started up her security company."

"That's what I thought," He said with another hum. "I dunno, maybe gettin' closer to Sin will help us get closer to her."

"Almost like she doesn't exist out of her work-role," Dius hummed, shifting the arm he had around Mav. Coming to play with a fold in the slight agent's shirt.

"It's almost exactly like that." Mav said and gave a little chirp of permission when Dius started playing with his shirt. "We've run a complete background on all of 'em, right? We been here so damned long I can't remember."

Dius considered that for a moment. "That could be fun," he said. "He seems like the type to not be too bugged down by shit like relationships. He did say he preferred one night stands or whatever, when we touched the subject during that card game. We could prod a little gently, see how where he stands when it comes to poly-play."

He shrugged lightly. "I also think it'd be fun, but I'm tryin' not to think with my dick." He flicked Dius a grin. "Might be better to get him to invite us to his place. That way we don't gotta hide all our shit. What 'bout Lina?"

"That'd be some brain, if you could think with your dick," Dius teased with a grin. "But yes. Maybe his place would be better. I'm sure we can swing that. And Lina... hm... I don't know. I don't have enough of a beat on her yet as person outside work."

Mav snorted a laugh. "I'm sure we can too." He stretched his back out a little. "Yeah, I don't either and I'm usually pretty good at that."

"She seems like a really nice person in general," And that's what made it hurt so much for Mav. "I still think he's the figurehead yeah. Sin might be higher up the chain than I thought though. I wanna go after him next."

Dius smirked into the pillow. "You have any ideas for that?"

Mav grinned back and fought the urge to trace the expression on Dius' face. "I dunno. I gave thought to invitin' him over, y'know what I mean? Just as a chance to get a bug on him really, but I dunno how he'd take Linnaeus comin' on to him even with Rogal's permission."

"That's nice of her," Dius hummed. "Imagine Lina and Sin will report to Seamus, if they hear something. Because we still think he's the head figure in this piece, right?"

"She seems like a really nice person in general," And that's what made it hurt so much for Mav. "I still think he's the figurehead yeah. Sin might be higher up the chain than I thought though. I wanna go after him next."

"Honestly? A bug gets found, no big deal. You get found, big deal." Mav chirped softly when Dius' arm went over him. "Let's listen for now with the option to change."

That was fair, Dius thought, shuffling to get his arm under the pillow, to support his head. He nodded. "So what you and the kid talk about?"

"Quite a bit. Teenage stuff, o'course, that was actually pretty fun." Mav hummed, shifting his head so his eyes met Dius'. "But she told me to be careful 'bout what I say and just who could hear it. She didn't just mean her dad, but Lina and Sin, too. She said we seemed like good folks and she didn't wanna see us hurt."

"I... don't know. Maybe it's better if we start with the bugs. Listen through them. What do you think?" Dius rolled with him. And now it was his arm that ended up over Mav's middle. He didn't even think about it, it just came natural.

"Honestly? A bug gets found, no big deal. You get found, big deal." Mav chirped softly when Dius' arm went over him. "Let's listen for now with the option to change."

"Just listenin'," He said. "I can't build a visual unit that small."

"Alright. But that's good. Means we have a link into that school too. Just in case we need it."

Mav nodded and then rolled onto his back. "You still gonna scout 'round tonight?"

Dius chuckled softly. "What? Cookies? Alright. I'm sure we can make that happen."

"I figured," Mav gave his own chuckle. "I was able to get one of my bugs in her bag, too."

"Are they only listening or does it show vids too?" Dius wondered.

"Just listenin'," He said. "I can't build a visual unit that small."
