“Oi oi it’s Kotomine’s— why would he kill me? I’m his Servant. What good would it do to kill your own Servant?” He waves the bills around some more before offering his arm for Enkidu to take. “If you will?”

“I don’t think that a man like that would kill you immediately, but I am sure that he would hold the grudge. He has command seals.” Enkidu reasoned. Though their experience with humans in general was limited.

But, well, it couldn’t hurt to have some fun. They weren’t Kotomine’s Servant. So they looped their arm around his, and leaned into his side. “Regardless- lead the way, Cu! Since it’s your treat!”

“I have—-” And then, out of nowhere, he pulls out a wad of cash from his back pocket, waving it in front of Enkidu. “Found this in Kotomine’s room!” Of which Cú is oh-so proud to have raided and found something of value.
“It’s Kotomine’s my treat.”

“Stealing could get you killed,” Enkidu said, parroting a sentiment they’d long-since learned from their best friend. “But since it’s his, I think that’s fine. Where are you taking me?”

“Aren’t we? Why not have some fun before our Masters force us to fight each other to death.”

“Not that that doesn’t sound enjoyable, but what did you have in mind?”

“Oi oi, we have a whole future ahead of us— all the time in the world and here you are thinking of what has already passed.”

“What is it you used to say? ‘We’re all already dead’?”

“I’ve always been a gentleman, I’ve just never had the chance to show you~”

“And here I thought that you’d had two years worth of chances. I suppose I was mistaken.”

“…Yes.” Siegfried raised an eyebrow. “We would be destroying the natural way this ecosystem works. Also, our Noble Phantasms would probably just shatter the mountain as well.”

It occurred to Enkidu that they’d only used one version of Noble Phantasm in battle. That being the case...

“If you just fire your Noble Phantasm at me, everything should be fine!”

The change from mop to person looked disturbing. Not even mildly, just plain disturbing. He watched the transformation finish, blinked then.

“   Maybe you should keep the sun in mind next time when you pick a hiding spot. But a week is a long time… your absence did not go unnoticed, that much is certain. Others might have started searching for you. What is your name?  ”

“Lancer.” Enkidu paused and considered. There were countless Lancers here at Chaldea. That was hardly useful.

“Enkidu. I’ll be sure to keep that in mind next time I play hide-and-seek. May I ask your name as well?”

So his sanity wasn’t endangered after all.
“ The children left 2 days ago… since when have you been hiding?
Someone’s disguise was a little too good.

Enkidu considered the question. Their body (the mop) started to wiggle, changing back into some semblance of humanity.

“... A week, I think? I can’t see the sun here, so I can’t be sure.”

The day that Enkidu had perished all of Uruk felt an incredible sadness that noone could rightly explain. Even those who did not know them personally had a melancholy permeate their being.
What a relief it was to not have to feel that sadness anymore, fleeting as it may be. Grasping onto her friend, she stroked along their hair, not quite ready to let go yet.

There is no need to thank me. I am simply glad that we have found one another once more.” Yes, best to concentrate on the positives right now. And certainly not on gratitude she felt she did not deserve; as high priestess and king’s counsel, it was more of a duty she scolded the golden king as she had. Though the slight pleased blush she sported belied her actual disposition.

Enkidu allowed themself to close their eyes, relaxing in her arms. They hadn’t allowed themself a luxury like this for a long time- normally they were the one doing the comforting. It was... nice. They thought back to the days they’d both been alive and in Uruk.

They had to suppress a laugh.

“You know, you always had a strong will. But even then, I never imagined you’d set foot on the battlefield.”

In terms of existence, Siduri could boast having lived as long as many deities did. If she had to get specific though, she would say that her time as a mortal was short and the moments wherein she’d been called to arms as a Servant even shorter, still. And there was so much to learn and experience in this new world – there was hardly a moment when Siduri could have a moment to truly cast her mind to the other Servants.
However, when she heard her name spoken through that familiar voice and turned to meet equally as familiar eyes and hair of forest hues, oh, did tears prick at the corners of her own eyes. Her arms circled around Enkidu’s form and embraced them as hard a she could. Though clearly pleased to see an old friend, Siduri was much more composed in their chance meeting.

Enkidu! Well met, my friend. And…truly? Hahahaha. It is good to know that I have been missed. I should not have to say it, but I, too, missed your presence. All of Uruk did – but now we are here, together!

Enkidu dipped their head to her shoulder. It only took them a moment to compose themself and draw away, but they’d wanted to savor the knowledge that their little family was coming back together.

“I heard a little of what happened after I... ‘broke.’ Thank you for scolding Gil. Who knows what would have happened to him or Uruk if you hadn’t. He doesn’t like talking about it, but I can tell he’s grateful too. I’m not sure if he’s told you that. He was never good with that sort of thing.” Not that they had to tell her that. She was one of the few he’d allowed to get close.

Chaldea was full of surprises. While Enkidu had not heard of many of its residents in life (a consequence of existing at such an early stage in humanity’s development), they’d learned of many in the throne.

Their Master had summoned someone new recently, but Enkidu had been too busy hopping from singularity to singularity to meet her. So when they turned a corner and saw her, it came as a surprise.

“Siduri?” It wasn’t their imagination. Their presence detection confirmed it. She was here, and she was a Servant just like them. They hurried to her and pulled her into a hug. Shamhat would have scolded them for their rudeness if she were there, but they were too happy to hold back. “Siduri! You’re here too! I missed you!”
