when richie was around 13-14 his hair was going through a period where it was pretty flat, not puffy and messy how it is now. so one day he saw maggie use hairspray and for a few years (until his hair decided to be fluffy again) he used hairspray on his hair. eddie noticed, every losers did bc the smell of it would slap them across the face (that ish is so strong) and eddie would find comfort in it since his favorite tozier would always smell like it, SO EDDIE WOULD ALWAYS STEAL SONIAS AND SPRAY IT JUST TO HAVE RICHIE AROUND.
