watch for this as you scroll social media this evening:

israel today dropped a bomb on a refugee camp located in rafah, which, as a reminder, had been sold as a safe zone.

remember that this camp is made of tents, not buildings. this strike was dropped directly on families in the dead of night, with no shelter to protect them. many people have become trapped by the burning tents. we don't have a death toll yet, but it's likely more than 50.

the images coming out from this attack are among the most graphic we have seen out of gaza. do not look them up unprepared.

important to note than there are also gofundmes for Palestinians who need funds to rebuild their homes and businesses that need as much attention as gofundmes for those fleeing genocide. I feel like helping Palestinians shouldn't be synonymous with displacement.

Kids love watching planes fly by but in Gaza it's a different story. Our children are not simply enjoying the sight of aircrafts like other babies around the world. They are just happy because if the planes are not dropping bombs on them, it means there is a chance they are delivering even the slightest amount of food they need so much. As you can see here, Omar and Salah are waving dedperately for aid planes as they are heading to aid-drop food far and deep into sea. Salah is even telling the plane to come help him. The possibility of those food parcels reaching them is little to none, but still seeing planes drop aid instead of bombs makes them somewhat hopeful.

After being dispalced again from Rafah to khan Yunis, it has become nearly impossible for my family to provide water, food and other basic necessities for their children and newborns. It is even harder for them to access humanitarian aid now that the occupation has sealed the Rafah crossing with Egypt while Israeli settlers and soldiers continue to block aid trucks at Israel's Kerem Shalom border crossing. International organizations say it has become almost impossible to deliver aid in Gaza because of the presence if the Israeli military. Despite international appeals to reopen the borders and allow humanitarian aid in, Israel keeps depriving my family and countless others of desperately needed food, water and medicine while it constantly subjects them to the torture of displacement at the same time. Airstrikes and snipershots are not the only threat to my family right now. Starvation and disease are effectively used by the occupation to further deepen our suffering and threaten the very survival of our children and families.

I remember saying months ago, when the "ceasefire" ended on December 1 2023, that calls for ceasefire were not meaningful because ceasefires, in essence, are not meant to be everlasting.

If calls for a ceasefire were overdue then, they're beyond futile right now.

We are in a struggle against a rogue state, a diabolical regime, that has so far killed well over 30,000 Palestinians in the span of seven months, a terrorist regime that is defying ICJ orders by committing more massacres in Rafah, a criminal regime that sees any support for the Palestinian cause as a means to further its collective punishment of Palestinians it placed under siege.

The only way we can achieve a permanent ceasefire is by severing the lifeline that is enabling this genocide; at this point our calls should be to impose sanctions on Israel, arms embargo, unseat Israel in the GA, cut diplomatic relations, boycotts and divestments.

Israel is definitely feeling the mounting pressure and this is where we should be focusing right now.
