Stuff I do masterpost

Probably the biggest thing I do is run a Youtube channel that covers indie ttrpgs. Big focus on Asian designers and comparing games to other media.

I also write tabletop games! A lot of my work uses collaborative worldbuilding elements and interrogates themes of imperialism, but also I just love big stupid monsters.

I’m also a novelist/fiction writer. Actually got my start writing Monster Factory Fanfiction in 2017 (hence the blog name), but have since had a few short stories published!

I also do two podcasts! The first is Bible Boys, where me (an ex catholic) and my two friends Michael and Josh (ex evangelicals and current siblings) watch unhinged Christian media! The second is Mortified! The Friendship Quest, where me and my friend @leylses try to discuss a different media object and do pretty insightful analysis of what makes that object work or not.

me as a child: this "$4.99" sales stuff is idiotic, anyone can instantly round this up to $5 in their mind, no one is falling for this

me as an adult: oh wow only $4 (with some additional numbers behind it), that's great because if it was a single dollar more that would have been the last straw for me in my miserable life

sorry for tagwatching but you still have to act like they aren’t mad at you imo! bc it’s the mad person’s duty to make it known if they want anything changed. it is never anyone’s duty to be a mind reader.

you have to cultivate total awareness of every millimeter of the hole; it's the only way out or in. questions to be asking yourself:

Is my hole jagged or crooked ?

Is my hole wet or dry ?

Are there bugs, worms, arthopods, nematodes, or other such creatures in my hole (i.e. am i alone in my hole) ?

Do i have compassion and understanding for my hole ?

Do i love my hole ?

Do other people know about my hole ?

started thinking abt annihilation while i was working on those FL wildlife stamps and i thought it'd be fun to come up a set of stamps based on scenes from the book, which then got me thinking abt the poor usps worker stuck making the trek out to the border to drop off & pick up the mail. i assume it'd be similar to the process for sending & receiving mail from remote research stations, like mcmurdo in antarctica. here's the first two of the set, exploring the descent/ascent into the tower & first contact w the crawler

in a weird space where like, DFTR RPG is 99% done and I want to show it to people, but it doesn't need like, feedback per say (i'm not very concerned about playability). I just want people to see it, but if that's the case, I should just wait until I get it in layout. but that's gonna take another month and everyone should see my great game now!!!
