Avi lets out an over-exaggerated sigh at Graycie’s instructions. He starts roughly flicking the magazine pages over, barely looking at them. “Does me wanting an outdoor wedding count as one of my three things?” he asks, leaning on the hand that wasn’t flipping pages. He’s suddenly alert on the page covered in cakes and jabs his finger down on one of them, “Holy shit Graycie, there’s a dragon on this cake!”

Graycie giggles and sees as he gets entranced with the pages. Flicking and scrawling like he was cramming for a test.

Avi uses the solid table to pull himself back up,”I’m tired too though, I can’t look at these things that all look the same to me in this state,” he points to the magazines then points to his face as he pulls a superfrown. “I’d rather just do stuff with Kirstie than by myself,” he adds, completely disregarding most of what Graycie had said to him, that was mostly because of the few drinks he’d had.

Graycie turns around and quietly places his drink down. “I want to see three things picked out before you go to bed Avriel.” She says strongly taking the whiskey bottle. It’s your wedding that you both have to plan and individually

“Noted,” Avi nods. “But she shouldn’t be shy about it, she certainly wasn’t shy when she’d bring up getting married before I proposed,” he sighs, “I thought that meant she pretty much knew what she wanted.” He turns to her and she slips down next to him, “Of course I don’t take that personally, I just find it odd that she’s shy about that when there’s so many other things you’d think she’d be shy about, that I can’t tell you cause she’d kill me, that she isn’t shy about,” he chuckles.

“It’s a big day and she wants to make sure that both of you feel comfortable.” She says kissing the side of his head. “Relax take some notes of ideas and present her with some tomorrow morning. I’ll deal with sleepy McGee and you take some planning time”

Avi didn’t quite see what she found so funny, he ended up linking it with the alcohol that was slowly seeping into her system. “Then if she wanted my help then why didn’t she ask me more? I’m always around, I’m happy to help, but she probably thinks I’m not,” he sighs, leaning back in his seat with a frown.

“One don’t make me laugh when whiskey or any fluid is in my mouth, two because she’s scared to ask avi. She’s human and she’s shy.” Graycie slinks onto the floor next to him. “Bass man don’t take it personally I’ve known her for many many years and you’ve known her for a quarter of that.”

Avi nods, “I knew that, I just couldn’t remember what it was called,” he laughs.  He glances at the pages as she flicks through the magazine. “Because Kirstie is really good at this stuff, you have no idea how many times she’s told I’ll like something that I’m sure I wont and then I do like it, t’s freaky,” he half laughs before he pauses to think for a moment. “Things that are important to me, Kirstie, music, nature and food, specifically barbeque food, see I’m gonna be so much more helpful in the food department,” he smiles, “People will eat so good at our wedding.”

Graycie sips a small bit of whiskey and then snorts trying to keep it in her mouth. “Yes they are going to eat well” she says and then shows him a magazine with little sticky tabs which have Ask Avi written on them. “See bass man she’s wanting your help”

Avi nods slowly, “So could I, but it doesn’t mean I should, and more like we should savour it instead of sculling it,” he jokingly slides the bottle away from her. He looks down at the magazine in front of him, “I have no idea where to start, it;s would be easier if she were awake,” he points over at Kirstie. “Well jeez you multi-lingual Maldonado’s,” he laughs.

She smiles and sips the whiskey. “Well I am an international linguistics student bass man.” She says laughing and flicking through the magazine. “It’s harder with kirstie as you will be looking at what she is and trying to match it.”

Avi continues to watch her with that proud smile. “I have no idea what I want, I don’t know the fine details, I haven’t thought about the fine details. I just always knew I wanted an outdoor wedding and that’s as far as I’ve gotten, sorry to disappoint Graycie. I guess we’ll just figure out what we want along the way,” he shrugs. “That’s my answer, and if you drink half this bottle of whiskey you might die,” he jokes.

Graycie laughs. "Bass man I can drink a bottle of whiskey easy. Alas I'm not the same as my sister in the alcohol tolerance department...." she smiles and slides him a magazine. "Can I suggest you start looking through these and choosing potential ideas. Kirstie wants your input Hun." She says pouring both of them another glass before toasting in Russian.

“You drink whiskey?” Avi asks with a somewhat proud smile. He shrugs, “Honestly I just want Kirstie to be happy most of all, if that means her getting everything she wants then so be it. She’s knows me so well though that I reckon without realising it she’ll put a few things for me in there. And then there’s things like we both really like nature and enjoy it so an outdoor wedding is perfect for us, even if the nature theme continued to the reception, it doesn’t have to be outdoors, but you get what I mean right?” he asks.

"Cut the smirking yes I drink whiskey." She says sipping more. She nods and then sighs. "Cut the Kirstie will slip in details. If you were to plan the big day by yourself what would you do? And yes I want to corny details." She says lightly 'punching' his shoulder playfully. "Otherwise this half a bottle of whiskey may be drunk by the time I get an answer out of you"

“She does?” Avi asks in surprise, “But that is definitely 100 percent what I want, but not the beach cause I don’t like the beach all that much, be it leading to the ocean and all that,” he chuckles nervously. He looks down at Kirstie who was in fact asleep, so much for her telling Graycie the good news. Avi is a little surprised when Graycie manages to pick Kirstie up, “I don’t have to finish my drink, I only poured it because I thought you and Kirstie would be talking,” he chuckles, standing up too. He holds his arms out, “Pass her here, I’ll take her upstairs.”

"Well I want to talk to you bass man. You are to be my brother." She says grabbing a sparewine glass and adding a small swig of whiskey into the bottom. "Tell me avi, what is your dream for this wedding? Clearly it's being with Kirstie with your sister and brother beside you but the more superficial details, setting etc." she says sipping slowly.

“Well we haven’t even set a date yet so we can’t do that much planning anyway,” Avi points out, “We only really can look at the pretty pictures,”he adds. “But we do know it won’t be in a church, or in the middle of the woods,” he nods surely.

Graycie looks at avi smirking. "I know that you want an outdoor wedding as does sleepy McGee" she says pointing at the sleepy Kirstie in their arms. "As does she and come on you'll love it" she says kissing his cheek. "I'll stay here and then you can also drink a little give sleepy to me" she says picking up Kirstie

“More magazines?” Avi asks in surprise, “Look at this table, it can’t handle any more magazines, and she’s got heaps of stuff saved online too, haven’t you?” he turns to Kirstie. “Maybe she’s planned out for today, we did a little bit just before but I don’t remember most of it,” Avi gives the two of them a guilty smile.

Graycie nods and then starts plaiting kirsties hair. "Well it's wedding time babe it's going to be magazine city for you here." Kirstie smiles and says "well it's a good wine and the wedding planning for today was.... was... opening the magazines and looking at the pretty pictures" she says slurring. Graycie giggles and kisses her head, "yes babe"

“Hi,” Avi replies before he takes a sip of his drink. “Was I supposed to text Josh and Kevin so that we could tell them all together?” he asks his eyes going wide, because he’d kind of just clicked with what was happening.

"No Esther called me while I was driving and was dripping off some magazines or something for you. That's why." She says looking at the sleepy mess that was her sister. "Kitty so you need to have less wine and more planning"

Avi stays in his seat in the kitchen thinking he might as well pour another drink since Graycie was here he knew he’d never get a word in with these two, and he didn’t really mind, he just still had no idea what was really going on. So he does pour himself that drink and is taking a sip before they even get back to the kitchen.

Graycie walks in and kisses both of them on the head. "Hey boo" she says in her lovely accent. "Now explain why I'm here and Esther text me she's on her way over as well"

The wayward guide for the untrained eye, by the Tin Can Brothers

Artemis, a tenacious podcast host, has grown tired of the fluff pieces she’s been assigned by APN, the American Podcasting Network. When she finds herself in the small mining town of Connor Creek with Paul (her producer and twin brother), the corporate corruption story they’re investigating is sure to be a bust. To the twins’ surprise, the oddballs and eccentrics of this small town are harboring a secret even darker and furrier than any political scandal: werewolves. With the future of Connor Creek at stake, the Schue-Horyn twins need to decide who to trust in order to unearth the truth and stay alive. The Wayward Guide for the Untrained Eye is a 10 episode webseries inspired by the podcasts Serial and S-Town, crossed with the game One Night Ultimate Werewolf, peppered with the surreal comedy of Pushing Daisies and Twin Peaks. Wayward Guide will feature the absurd and larger-than-life comedy that you’ve come to love from the Tin Can Brothers, but won’t be shy when tugging at your heartstrings. Additionally, as a companion piece to the show, we will be bringing on a specialized sound design team to help us produce the complete 10 episode in-world podcast that Artemis & Paul are making in Wayward Guide. This supplemental material will be released in conjunction with the series and exist parallel to the story, offering new insight into the mystery of Connor Creek and its quirky residents.

“Okay, so honesty here, Kirst I have no idea what’s happening,” Avi speaks plainly, and a little flustered, the confusion stuck on his face. He felt like he should understand what was happening, but just that maybe the alcohol he’d drunk was clouding his thinking a little. “Why is it whoops?” he asks, still confused.

Avi frowns, “You want them to come over?” he starts looking around for his phone, a little confused, was it not too late at night, he didn’t actually have any idea what the time was though.

Graycie picks up looking at the both of them "umm kirst are you drunk you never face time me." She says giggling with keys jingling in the background. "Hey bass cannon I'll see you in 5" she says before hanging up....

So … I think this is the first original post I’ve written in four whole years of having this Tumblr, but I legitimately can’t think of a better reason to break my internet silence! For those of you who have been living under a rock/have an actual life outside of social media, the Tin Can Brothers (Corey Lubowich, Joey Richter and Brian Rosenthal) are currently in the midst of Kickstarting their latest project: a 10 episode webseries/podcast called ‘The Wayward Guide for the Untrained Eye’! This project is sure to be incredible and you can find out more specific details by following the link below!! 

The Tin Can Brothers are the same guys behind the smash-hit musical: ‘Spies Are Forever’, which has amassed hundreds of thousands of views on YouTube (if you haven’t seen it yet, it’s pretty dang good, and you can watch it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vd3aJl930YE&list=PLlF0gFzOX4tD1KJ5ZEnvhD55Qhnz-K0X2)!

On top of Kickstarter campaigning, they’re currently uploading weekly episodes of their hilarious one-act play, ‘The Solve-It Squad Returns’. Marketing aside, these guys are wholeheartedly committed to producing consistent, quality content that their fans can access easily and cheaply. Their work is witty, original and extremely engaging! Additionally, their projects always include badass female characters with distinctive personalities and independent motivations, who are allowed to be vulnerable AS WELL AS strong; just like real human beings! As a long-term fan of the TCB, I’m 100% positive that ‘Wayward Guide’ will live up to these standards!

However, at the rate that the Kickstarter is moving, ‘Wayward Guide’ is NOT currently projected to be fully funded by its final day (24/09). If it doesn’t reach its $100,000 goal, it ain’t happening! No cards will be charged, no rewards will be given out, and it’ll be like the whole concept never existed! But YOU can change that! By donating just $1 (approx 70p for my fellow Brits), you’ll be helping this project come to life! If you donate $5 (approx £3.80) you’ll not only play a key part in the creation of ‘Wayward Guide’ but you’ll also receive exclusive updates on its progress, right up until its release; all for the price of a Starbucks! There are additional rewards available at increasing price tiers, so the more you donate, the more you will receive! At the moment, the Kickstarter needs to be making around $4000 per day in order to reach its goal! It’s a lot of money, but I’m confident we can do it! As Tescos say - Every little helps!

If you’ve watched ‘Flopstoppers’ or the ‘Spies Are Forever’ Kickstarter video, he was also DP for both of those! His work is BEAUTIFUL and based on what I’ve seen of him in the ‘Flopstoppers’ BTS featurette, he seems like a really chill guy!

- Chuck Criss is Composing! 

He’s in the band ‘Computer Games’, along with his brother, Darren, who you mayyyy have heard of before! He’s also in indie rock band ‘Freelance Whales’. His musical style is EXTREMELY cool, and if you watch the Kickstarter vid for this project, you can hear some of his tunes first-hand!

- Corey, Brian and Joey! 

In addition to writing and producing ‘Wayward Guide’, the Tin Can Brothers are taking an even more active role! Corey is also going to be directing the project, whilst Brian and Joey will both be acting in it!

- Mary Kate Wiles! 

You may know her as Tatiana from the TCB’s previous project, ‘Spies are Forever’, or from her prolific work with fellow internet comedy group, ‘Shipwrecked Comedy’! (’Kissing in the Rain’, ‘Poe Party’ and the upcoming ‘Case of the Gilded Lily’) She also appeared as Lydia Bennet in Pemberley Digital’s Emmy Award winning webseries ‘The Lizzie Bennet Diaries’, and has enjoyed starring roles in the short film ‘I Ship It’, and in the webseries ‘Muzzled the Musical’ amongst many others! (Basically she’s done almost everything there is to do and I’d be here all day listing her credentials!) She’ll be taking a lead role in this project as podcast host, Artemis Schue-Horyn, and I for one, can’t wait!

Steve was an original member of the popular YouTube channels,‘SourceFed’ and ‘SourceFedNerd’, which have amassed over 2 million subscribers in total! He’s also starred as Iggy DeLacey in Pemberley Digital’s ‘Frankenstein, M.D’ and has recently appeared in some Disney Channel and Disney XD shows. He’s a new addition to the TCB universe, and is sure to be wonderful! 

- Dylan Saunders!

You’re sure to know Dylan from his work with Team StarKid! He’s appeared in the ‘Very Potter’ trilogy, ‘Starship’, ‘Holy Musical B@man’ and, most recently, ‘Twisted’! I think we can all agree that he has one of the best voices on the planet, and he’s also one of the most laid-back and friendly guys I’ve ever had the privilege to meet! I’m so excited to see him working with these guys again!

- Joanna Sotomura!

Another Pemberley Digital star, Joanna appeared as the title character, Emma Woodhouse, in the series ‘Emma Approved’! She’s also a new addition to the TCB world, and I can’t wait to see more of her!

- Jon Cozart!

Yep, that’s right - ‘Paint’ himself is going to be involved in this project! Jon is probably best known as the creator of ‘Harry Potter in 99 Seconds’, a.k.a one of my FAVOURITE videos of all time! - Nick Lang!

One of the founding faces of Team StarKid, Nick has been involved in some way in pretty much every creation of theirs to date! Also, he once taught my Dad a magic trick, which my Dad has never managed to accurately recreate. Further proof that Nick is the best!

- Clayton Snyder!

You’ll probably remember Clayton from his wonderfully intense portrayal of Fyodor Dostoyevsky in Shipwrecked Comedy’s ‘Poe Party’ (as members of Shipwrecked have said, he was basically in his own movie). Also, he’s Ethan Craft from ‘Lizzie McGuire’ so that’s pretty dang cool!

- Sinead Persaud!

A founding member of Shipwrecked Comedy, Sinead has co-written, produced and starred in every single one of their projects to date! Last year, she appeared as sassy ghost, Lenore, in ‘Poe Party’, which was a perfect role for her! In this, she’ll be appearing as a ‘Macabre Mortician/Taxidermist’, which is an EVEN MORE PERFECT role for her! 

- Titus Makin Jr!

Titus has done a looottttttt of TV work over the years, (like seriously, so much!) but you’ll probably remember him best as David the Warbler from ‘Glee’! He’s also got a budding music career going, so he’s very talented! Another TCB newbie!

- Tara Perry!

Perhaps you’ll remember Tara from when she coughed a lot and was reallllly into trees on Shipwrecked Comedy’s ‘Poe Party’. If not, she also played boss lady, Vivian DeMarco, in the Tin Can Brothers’ short film ‘Flopstoppers’! I’m also pretty sure that I saw her once in an art gallery in Glasgow, but was 100% too scared to approach her, so who knows?

- Gabe Greenspan!

If you’ve been keeping up with the Tin Can Brothers recently, then you’ll for sure know Gabe from their most recent show, ‘The Solve-It Squad Returns’! He plays a complete a*sehole called Keith, but somehow manages to still make him loveable! Also, he’ll be appearing in Shipwrecked Comedy’s upcoming ‘The Case of the Gilded Lily’, so keep your eye out for that!

 - Ashley Clements!

Ashley is probably best known for her titular role as Lizzie Bennet in Pemberley Digital’s, ‘The Lizzie Bennet Diaries’. Other webseries she’s appeared in include ‘Poe Party’ and ‘Muzzled the Musical’ (as a well-dressed villain both times)! Most recently, you might have seen her in the Tin Can Brothers’ ‘The Solve-It Squad Returns’ where she acted opposite Gabe Greenspan. She’ll be doing that again and it’s sure to be hilarious!

- Corey Dorris

You’ll probably best remember Corey as Big Tallywacker in ‘MAMD’, Yaxley in ‘AVPS’, Kingsley Shacklebolt in ‘AVPSY’ and the Grandpa in ‘The Trail to Oregon’! When I saw the show in New York, his character was called ‘Ol’ Man River’, which is, in my opinion, the BEST NAME HE COULD EVER HAVE HAD! He’s also Juilliard trained which is prettttyyy cool!

- Sean Persaud

Another founding member of Shipwrecked Comedy, Sean has also co-written, produced and starred in each of their projects, along with his sister, Sinead. He played the titular role of Edgar Allan Poe in ‘Poe Party’ last year, where he exhibited his uncanny ability for deadpan hilarity! He’ll be playing a ‘Desperate Pastor’ in this project and I can’t wait!
