Hello i am mr happy element figuring out we need to appeal to young fans so let's make the new characters be tiktok using middle schoolers. But we cant forget and completely alienate the old fans who actually fund this either hmm well release the sexy demon hotline shuffle too separate from the new unit so we got all our bases covered. I expect a billion yen in my account now

My next shuffle unit theme proposal: Lady Gaga's 2011 hit song Born This Way.

Synopsis: Eichi legalizes gay marriage under Ensemble Square, announces it to the outside world through a new queer anthem that promotes ES as THE place to be for LGBTQ+ people.

Members: Eichi, Arashi, Shu, Himeru, Chiaki.

Shenanigans ensue when Chiaki thinks he's invited in the role of straight ally. Everyone turns around and starts whispering "Does he not know he's bi yet?" "HiMERU thougt he was dating a guy for as long as HiMERU has known him" "Yes I invited my old hospital friend out of an affinity that we're both dating a blue haired member of the 5 eccentrics" "Are we sure Kanata is a man though maybe that's where the misunderstanding lies" to be continued

This started out as just a fun pinkie pie sketch, but I'm really proud of how these turned out! 🥰💖

These are the actual colours I painted with, but I played around a bit with gradient maps to get a few variations... I like them all, and cannot really decide which I prefer. Ref is from this.

So we all know that Tumblr is US-centric. But to what degree? (and can we skew the results of this poll by posting it at a time where they should be asleep?)

Reblog to increase sample size!

*sighs* this was so beautiful when the percentages were 20% : 80%...

Good morning to EDT and CDT, and to the early birds in the mountains

As a young boy in school, Masaki Sashima would be dragged out of his classroom and beaten by his fellow students.

Masaki, now 72, was different to the other kids.

He was Ainu, an Indigenous people from the country's northern regions, most notably the large island of Hokkaido.

"During recess, the hallway door would open, and several guys would yell at me to come out," he said.

"I clung to my desk in the classroom and kept quiet.

"Everyone would surround me and beat me."

Japan has long portrayed itself as culturally and ethnically homogenous, something that some have even argued is a key to its success as a nation.

More than 98 per cent of Japanese people are descendants of the Yamato people.

But the Ainu are distinct, with their own history, languages, and culture.

But, as the victims of colonialism, assimilation, and discrimination, much of that identity has been lost.

An Ainu woman named Chiri Yukie wrote down some of her people's oral traditions into Japanese because, as a child, her people were being displaced by Japanese settlers in Hokkaido. Her language was disappearing, so she (ironically) saw translating the stories into Japanese as a way to preserve them. She died at age 19.
