Why Kickstarter?

Because of how Paypal handles preorder funds, we decided Kickstarter was the best preorder platform for us, as it holds funds until a project is complete. It was the best option for the security of both our contributors and our supporters. Our $1,500 goal is essentially production cost!

SLATEBOOK Volume 1 is out!

SLATEBOOK is a sketch zine for SLATE, a webcomic about a trans man in his late twenties who comes to figure out his gender identity while working as a drag king.

The zine is over 35 pages and contains sketches, colored art, mini comics, scrapped story concepts and artist commentary. Readers can also find previews at future plotlines and characters that have yet to be seen in the comic. SLATEBOOK can be purchased on Gumroad at a pay-what-you want rate (with a minimum price of one dollar).

All profits received from the zine for the month of June (Pride Month!) will go to Helem, a Lebanese LGBT organization.*

Helem is the first LGBT advocacy group in the Arab world, and advocates for legal change, the social elevation and protection of the Lebanese LGBT community, publishing pro-LGBT literature on things like civil rights and sexual health, countering the AIDS crisis and providing a safe place for LGBT people in Lebanon to live and socialize.

Painted traditionally with watercolor on 140lb cold pressed paper. Featuring faves from Turnabout Storyteller. 💕

Save the Date Turnabout is a Zine capturing the events, shenanigans, and misadventures that take place during the wedding ceremony & reception of Phoenix Wright & Miles Edgeworth.

The idea of this zine is to be a chronological collage of different scenes, starting with the ceremony, through to the reception, and ending with the sendoff of the grooms. 

Primarily we are looking for comics and stand-alone illustrations, but writing is also welcome.

This zine is meant to celebrate and put together a collection of works surrounding the villains of Ace Attorney! Here’s my full piece for @takethatzine!

Being a part of the Take That! team has really been one of the most amazing experiences I’ve ever had. What started out as a joke and then turned into a serious conversation about the place of LGBT creators and their works in this fandom very quickly became a zine that has been more important to me than I think I can explain. And before we knew it we’d raised over $500 for charity and had made so many friends along the way. Through this project I’ve been introduced to so many different artists and writers that I’d never encountered before, and I’m happy to say I’m a massive fan of all of them now. Plus, i got to see what their identities meant to them, how they played a role in their lives and art, and what they saw as deserving of celebration, and better come to understand them, myself, and our community as a whole.
