FAQ:
I’m getting this one out of the way.
Q: Is Greg Steven’s biological father?
A: No. Simple answer. Greg is NOT Steven’s biological father. That would be kinda disgusting (in my opinion). Imagine if he was for a second. That would mean BOTH Kyanite AND Rose would have been in a relationship with him. And I think the Nora/Steven sibling relationship is actually even better because they aren’t blood related. There’s a reason I made it so Steven has a different biological father.
Q: When is Steven’s birthday?
A: August 15th, like canon’s. He’s currently 14.
Q: When is Nora’s birthday?
A: April 2nd! She’s currently 6 in the comic.
Q: Why the choice of a sibling? Why not just keep Rose alive?
A: Well, friend-o, that is because I was intrigued how that would play out. And I think it makes the story a bit more enjoyable to have another person to look about.
Q: Why Kyanite? Not an agate?
A: Well, this makes it so the AU is a bit more unique, and is an actual name-dropped gem, so it works well for what I’m trying to do. Plus, I like the idea of two quartzes to have the remaining diamonds have to be more wary about it.
Q: Will the Diamonds be in this? How are the Diamonds faring?
A: We’ll get to that eventually, but the Diamonds are going to be in this of course. How could they not? As for how they’re doing… well, I’ll leave that up to you to imagine.
Q: How is Rose there if Blue rebelled as Kyanite?
A: They rebelled together. There’s a big reason for that, but that’ll be gone over.
Q: If both Blue and Pink are gone, does that leave only Yellow and White?
A: Oh, yes it does~. And the repercussions from that extend much further than you’d think.
Q: Will Connie be in the comic?
A: Yeah. She’s REALLY important to the story. And I’m not confirming nor denying anything relating to Connverse.
Q: How does Blueberry’s gem affect him?
A: Long winded explanation, COMING UP!
To start, let me show the image.
Due to it being quite big, the gem has caused quite a few medical problems. First of all, his lungs are underdeveloped and depressed. Due to this, he encounters breathing problems from time to time, just because they have not had the ability to grow and expand. If he breathes too deeply, he starts to cough because his lungs hit the gem and freak out. He also does take more frequent, shallow breaths just because of his lung size. His heart is also smaller, having to beat more to keep a constant blood flow. His ribs are also not fully formed. The gem is once again the cause, but is also a solution. The gem is in the way of where his lungs would be exposed, so he is still protected, just because diamonds are hard. It’s not shown, but his stomach is also smaller so his body had become used to the smaller amount of food and adjusted accordingly. The doctors really were astonished when they saw him as a baby, considering how BIG the gem is. Magic really does wonders on his body to keep him alive. The gem is probably one of the most pressing issues for him on a day-to-day basis. Well, other than math.
Q: Why does Blueberry go to school?
A: Well, he was exposed to the idea as a young kid, and had genuinely wanted to keep going with it. It’s also in the ideas I personally have with Diamonds, and due to Blue being more aristocratic, he’s more likely to be in school. I thought it would be a cool little nod to history.
Q: Who won Marlow Party?
A: Nora. She KICKED BLUEBERRY’S ASS-
