People wanna use the mental illness card like that absolves the fact that he fucking drugs and kidnaps girls all to impress his fucking photography teacher, throttles/threatens Max throughout the game, and is an all-round violent psychotic dickhead. I can go on and on about how fucked up it is that people use mental illness to downplay the very deliberate and premeditated evil that Nathan orchestrates. He procures drugs for the express purpose of kidnapping girls. Even Jefferson shows his surprise at Nathan’s initiative (“How do you think I got all these hip new drugs for my subjects”). Just because he is under the tutelage/manipulation of an even bigger evil narcississtic shithead does not make him a sympathetic character. Mentally ill people are overwhelmingly more likely to be victims than perpetrators of violence. Mental illness can make people do terrible things in the spur of the moment, but in NO way does psychosis (as is common in bipolar/schizophrenia, which are implied Nathan suffers from) allow such deliberate covering up of one’s wrongdoings over such a long period of time(Nathan’s fake phone, hidden behind a sofa, for example). Not to mention after the fucker KILLS A GIRL WITH AN OVERDOSE he STILL continues drugging/kidnapping girls. No moment of remorse. No,‘gee I’ve actually killed someone doing this maybe I should stop’. No. Motherfucker still carries on his merry fucking way with Kate. Pissbaby Prescott calling Max crying as he realises that Jefferson’s after him too was the part that endeared him to a lot of his apologists. But he only does this when he is utterly and truly fucked. “He (Jeffershit) used me” and you were more than fucking happy to go along. Don’t forget, Victoria, his BEST FRIEND, the one redeeming relationship Nathan fans love to use to humanize him, WAS HIS NEXT TARGET.

This got really long but I cannot express in enough words how much I hate Nathan, nor can I ever completely get over my bafflement at people sympathizing with him.
