adding this to the list of observations because i caught myself doing it. bet i just caught you, too

HUGE but tiny thing I did for myself was install a website blocker. It’s super simple to turn off and on so it won’t stop you if you need to see or be somewhere but if you have severe ADHD like I do, having that one little prompt that goes “hey do you REALLY wanna go to Twitter right now? Are you sure?” is just enough of a deterrent to remind myself “oh yeah! Why would I do that?” It’s not a cure-all but damn if I’m doing homework it’s quite useful.

This is the one I use! It’s for Firefox, not sure if there’s any Chrome ones (but I highly recommend switching to Firefox anyway)

I used to think I can't have ADHD because I wasn't hyperactive.

Not everyone can allow themselves to act on their hyperactivity, so we find ways to redirect or hide the understimulation.

The Ridiculous Ground-Up World Building Questionnaire

What follows is an exhaustive list of questions for world building. YOU should be able to answer all of these questions, and your readers should be able to answer a fair amount by the end of your story or series.

Generally for world building I recommend picking a modern-day country or region for actual geographical/climate world building, and an ancient empire or two to help you answer the other questions. 

You may not need to answer all questions, I doubled many for urban vs rural settings and some questions are repeated in various sections. Also, the term “destitute” is used to mark the lowest levels of society (in some stories that can mean slaves or servants). Just FYI.

What follows is 1,045++ Questions, and I do recommend answering them for each country on your map (if they play a role in the story)…

before I knew what Homestuck was, I was really confused with Homestar Runner’s sudden boost in popularity

Miracle Capsules are an obscure item in Mario Party 5 that very rarely sees use during gameplay. A player in last place has a low chance of getting a Miracle Capsule from a dispenser, and in the very unlikely case that the player can collect 3 of them, the player in last place receives all stars from the player in first place, heavily shaking up the game.

Curiously, if any player in 2nd or 3rd place manages to collect three Miracle Capsules (nearly impossible without luck manipulation and strategic use of the Lakitu Capsule to steal the capsule from the last place player, as that player is the only one who can receive them legitimately), as shown with Peach here, an amusing effect happens. Although Peach is in 2nd place, the Miracle Capsules still give all the stars from first place to last place, completely leaving Peach out of the equation despite her being the one to collect them.

In the even more unlikely case of the first place player collecting three Miracle Capsules, a failsafe activates and nothing happens, as keeping the same effect would be actively harmful to the player in that scenario.
