Oh my lord, I don’t know where to start

First and foremost, I am so so so sorry @avistella for taking forever in making your gift ;_; I was suppose to have uploaded this more than two weeks ago, but finals turned out to be more complicated than I thought (that’s my fault for missing TWO classes :( ) and of course the days leading up to Christmas were hectic af. I knew there is no excuse for being late, but everything was a little overwhelming :(. Thankfully Im OK now and have taken the time to finally edit your fic! Of course, next time I will plan things accordingly to deliver on time :)

I chose the prompt with Gladio and Iris having some quality sibling time! Tbh, I was struggling with this at first and i was about to do another prompt when suddenly I began writing and writing and soon I had a fic! It was a lot of fun writing this piece! I did listen to a lot of Christmas songs and revisiting childhood Christmas memories to write this, and that was very nostalgic, in a nice way! So thank you for giving me this opportunity!

I am also excited bc this is my first time uploading any writing for a fandom! I had made promises to myself that I would write fanfiction for my favorite series, but I ended up not following through or I eventually lost interest. FFXV and its fandom have really motivated my to follow through with that promise! So thank you everyone! Your writing and presence has brought me to meet new people that inspire me everyday!

Finally, thank you @the-gift-of-ffxv​ for being so understanding and for giving me the extra time! I truly appreciate your kindness and patience! Thank you so much for organizing this Secret Santa! I had alot of fun, and I met new people! If you are planning in making another one next year, I cant wait to participate again! (Of course, I will be on time next time)

2017 FFXV Holiday Gift Reveal: UPDATE!

You counted the cracks in the table ahead of you, tracing a finger over years’ worth of initials carved into the wood.

With a groan of frustration you practically threw yourself back into the leather upholstery of your vehicle’s seats, releasing the gas pedal from the wrath of your heels and ignoring the bobby pins that jabbed into the back of your head as you did so. Your eyes slid shut as you took in a deep breath through your nose, the events of the day replaying behind your eyelids. It started with the looming feeling that you were about to make a mistake, followed by giving into that feeling’s persistent nagging and running away from your groom to be, ‘borrowing’ the vehicle that was supposed to drive you to the reception venue and finally getting aforementioned vehicle stuck in a snowbank in what appeared to be the middle of nowhere on one of the coldest winter days. When you were running, you hadn’t really given much thought to where you were going — just as long as it was far away from that church and the scrutinizing gaze of your families.

I decided to go with the prompt of Nyx experiencing snow in Insomnia for the first time, but alas, my brain couldn’t seem to come up with anything compelling with Nyx solo, hence I decided to add in his bff’s at the last minute.  This also happened to be the first time I’ve drawn any of the Kingsglaive cast, so at the very least I hope I was able to nail some semblance of their likenesses!  Hope you like it!

I have no good excuse for the title, really.

I originally attempted the angst prompt of sharing holiday memories after the passing of a loved one, but it turned into a tangled headcanon mess that was only tangentially related to your prompt. SO! Have some overenthusiastic outdoor-living buff!Gladio and his first snow day. I hope you like it!

“Snow? In My Insomnia?” It’s More Likely Than You Think!

Scientists had been saying for years that Eos’s climate would change because of the Glacian’s murder, but no one could have predicted the two feet of snow that buried Insomnia.

Gladio Amicitia was ready. He had his new snowshoes and a magazine on snow shelters. (And, oh yeah, maybe some friends too.)

There was snow in Insomnia. Meteorologists had been saying for years that weather patterns across all of Eos were likely to shift, what with the death of Shiva in the Empire and all. Gladio’d written a report about it for his tutor a few years ago, read all of Dr. Yeagre’s research about the changing environment, as well as reports by meteorologists from inside and outside of Gralea. The ones from Gralea had a challenge to dig up, but definitely worth it. So much speculation buried deep in Niff newspapers that it’d taken him days to translate. Modern Niff bore little resemblance to Medieval Niff. And his knowledge of the medieval stuff was basically regulated to the vocab from the great romances and ballads.

When he wrote the report, he’d joked that maybe they’d finally get a snow day. Didn’t actually think it’d happen though.
