Man I don’t know what it’s like where you are but around here buying food at the dollar store is a fools game.

It costs MORE per pound or quart or whatever than at the grocery store and it’s lower quality.

It just seems cheaper if you can’t do math ;cause you can like get peanut butter  for a dollar but it’s only a 4 ounce jar and it’s 30% palm oil.

I looked at like 20 products and they were all the same, very small sizes at about 20-30% higher price by volume. Many of them were made in China and idk about you but I would rather eat pigeons than processed food from China.

I just looked this up and it turned out it was about a production of “cat on a hot tin roof”, a play which famously features a closeted gay lead character. a member of the audience was catcalling female actresses and shouting homophobic abuse when actor john lacy, who played the character big daddy, paused his performance and called him out. the heckler replied “what are you going to do about it?” to which lacy responded by leaping down into the audience and knocking him to the ground.
