Casual reminder:  Every time someone tells me, oh, you’re ALLOWED to like Obi-Wan Kenobi as a character, but only if you admit what a terrible person he is, you’re ALLOWED to like terrible things, just admit it!, stop trying to pretend that he’s better than he is, YOU CAN LIKE TERRIBLE THINGS, all I hear is: “Oh, you’re allowed to like the prequels and like Hayden Christensen’s performance, but only if you admit that they’re terrible movies and he’s a shitty actor.  YOU CAN LIKE TERRIBLE THINGS WITHOUT BEING BLIND TO HOW SHITTY THEY ACTUALLY ARE.” It’s the exact same thing as all those angry fanboys who tried to tell prequels fans that they liked Star Wars for the wrong things and that you’re only allowed to like things on their terms. And I’m really done with other people trying to tell me the parameters of how I have to define things I like.  No, I like the prequels just fine, I like Hayden’s acting just fine, I like Obi-Wan Kenobi as a good person just fine, I like the Jedi as good people just fine, nobody else has to, but I’m not beholden to anyone else’s definitions of what I’m allowed to like.

PREACH. I love the prequels. I love Hayden. I love them on my terms and I don't give two shits what anyone else thinks. Hayden is a gift and if your think otherwise, I don't care.
