To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to be able to ship Stenny. The ship is extremely underrated, and without a solid grasp of their dynamics most of the hints will go over a typical non shipper’s head. There’s also Stan’s empathetic nature, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his extreme distraught of seeing Kenny in the hospital and the act of going out of his way to save Kenny’s life two times, for instance. The Stenny shippers understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these moments, to realise that they’re not just cute- they say something deep about HOW STAN IS A CARING FRIEND WHO CARES ABOUT KENNY’S WELLBEING AND HOW KENNY IS A PATIENT AND LOYAL FRIEND TO STAN IN RETURN. As a consequence people who don’t ship Stenny truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn’t appreciate, for instance, the significance of Stan’s dying line “And Kenny, stay gold” which itself is an ingenious reference to S.E Hinton’s novel and film The Outsiders and a clever parallel to Kenny’s last line “Where’s Stan?”. I’m smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated non shippers scratching their heads in confusion as Stan and Kenny’s endearing interactions in the episode The Passion of the Jew unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools.. how I pity them. 😂 And yes, by the way, i DO have a Stenny tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It’s for Stenny shippers’ eyes only- and even then they have to demonstrate that they’re within 5 Stenny powerlevel points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand. Nothin personnel kid 😎
