It is endlessly fascinating to me that because I don't want to date my oppressors so called "radfems" always assume I'm a lesbian. No matter how many political arguments I put forward, it is lesbianism that is guiding my thoughts, apparently. They just cannot believe that a woman would prioritise her well being over men. That a woman would put her feminism into practice. There's no way out of the patriarchy to them. I know babyboomers who are more modern than that. I get less lectures about how I need men to be happy from non feminist women do you know that? I know more straight women who have chosen celibacy outside of "feminist" circles too. Here I get "there's no way out of the nuclear family model, not all men, you must be a big meanie lesbian, leave straight women to die if it's their choice" from supposed "radical" and "gender critical" people.

Same here. And then, when they cannot run around to other blogs describing you as a lesbian trying to trick bi and straight women into putting themselves first or whatever, they lecture you, "Straight women get horny, you know," as if our principles are guided by asexuality!

A woman who exists independent of her attraction to men is an anathema to some who call themselves radical. How did that happen. It was a heterosexual woman in the 1970s who quipped, "A woman without a man is like a fish without a bicycle," and yet scores of young OSA women in the 2020s sincerely believe their lives are (or will be) empty and devoid of meaning without romance.

A lot of them come from liberal backgrounds and it shows. They treat feminism like an online hobby. Not too far from the way postmodernists like to play around with ideas and words, but don't do anything.

It's not radical to claim that nothing can be changed, that women are unreachable and doomed. I hope they realise that. Radical feminism has always been revolutionary.

Says a lot about how they perceive lesbianism though. They think it's about rejecting men instead of loving women. Same with separatism. They think it's about rejecting men instead of living freely, happily and safely. Everything is perceived through the patriarchal lense, men at the center.

And this idea that without men we are doomed, miserable, isolated witches living in the woods, or old cat-ladies with no life, bitter sexless harpies, missing out on the wonders of patriarchal exploitation, such boring and rehashed male propaganda, it's really disappointing coming from young generations.

this website is cuckoo bananas. for years i’ve been watching trans girls post “hey, have you considered that even though trans guys are obviously treated worse than cis guys, the limited male privilege that they do have access to means that they are taken more seriously, treated less dangerously & just respected more than trans women in most if not all circumstances” and everybody’s been going nuts like, calling us separatists, calling us “divisive” for even pointing out men in the trans community can be misogynistic etc.

and then today, i saw a pretty mild post from a trans guy saying “passing as a man is so weird. other men are treating me with more respect than they treat my girl friends in public now. i used to have to argue & cite 100 sources for anybody to listen to me, and now all i have a beard all i have do is say ‘hey maybe women should be treated better’ and everybody listens to me immediately”

….and then i go into the notes and there’s a bunch of transandrophobia bloggers saying “wow, you really opened my eyes… i never saw it this way before…” like am i going crazy??? am i the only one who sees the incredible irony here? maybe you guys… here’s a thought… should listen to women also?

ultimately mens hatred for women’s sexual proliferation - “body counts”, only fans, etc - is not just about controlling women, but it speaks to something more sinister on how they view sex. they are not anti-sex. they watch porn and have sex or at least desire to have it. but they want women to be ashamed and humiliated of the sex men force them to have. a man should have sex with a woman, but a woman should not enjoy it.

people often wonder why men watch porn or have sex if they constantly shame women for being ‘sluts’ and ‘camgirls.’ but the answer is obvious. consent is not appealing to them. when women reclaim the sexuality that’s been weaponized against them it’s a turn off for men. for these men the act of sex is not where the pleasure is derived from. it is the pain of women.

online communities are so strange because people slip away so easily. you can be on here for years, folding people you've never met into the fabric of your daily life, and then they disappear, leaving only ghost posts scattered across tumblr behind. or their blog stays dormant, for weeks, months, years, until you're only still following them because you remember that they love sunflowers or they were kind to you when they didn't have to be or the last thing they posted was sad and raw and you still worry about them sometimes.

and sometimes they come back when you least expect it, years later, even, and there's this sudden rush of relief like there you are, there you are, even though you barely knew each other.

there's a strange kind of love to it. i don't know you and i want to hold your hand across miles and time zones and oceans. i can still see the imprint of you in this community you left. you don't anyone will notice or care when you're gone, but we notice and we care and we wish you well.

i hope you're all okay out there. i hope the sun is shining on your face and you are breathing deeply. i miss you.
