i bought quite a few new plants over quarantine but i love them so much💕🌱

bio and chem are def a lot to keep up with (especially their labs) but so far i think i’m managing it pretty well :) we had our first bio quiz yesterday and i got a pretty good grade so i’m hoping it stays that way. also my chem prof is so nice he starts out all of his lectures doing karaoke and talks to his dog and cat all the time🥺

it snowed last night so i decided to read in bed today.  i also listened to prélude à l’après-midi d’un faune by debussy this morning as it was recommended by my professor and i luckily have it on vinyl.

Back at uni and things are getting buuuuusy again! 📝It’s been weird getting used to working and studying simultaneously and my body is ~struggling~ but I’m always up for a challenge.

04.11.20 / i spent sometime in my crafting corner to soak in the quiet before tuning in to the morning news. i feel a bit like my bookshelf today lol. it looks fine in the photo but it was actually split in half when i moved. i put it back together with copious amounts of wood glue but i’m pretty sure it’s very close to collapsing. the election anxiety really got to me last night. but i’m doing my best to stay calm. how’s your week so far. let me know how you’re doing ♡

I tried to adapt these arts to other products, but I think they were very ugly, so focus on looking for poster, art print or stickers options! I hope you like it and that the price offered by Redbubble is affordable! 

In the future I want to make other species of sharks! i went for a walk with my mum. it was cold, but the walk helped me to relax. when i got back home, my focus was a lot better. days like these, ahhh.

Understanding Autism - FutureLearn Course

Usually we think of people having a fairly even profile of skills, however this is different for autistic people. Most people on the spectrum have something known as a spikey profile, and this means we can't look at an autistic person's general skill level to predict what their other skills are like.

Although, spikey profiles aren't usually recognized by people such as support workers. For example, autistic people with verbal communication are incorrectly assumed to be capable in areas which they struggle in, and those with less verbal skills are often incorrectly assumed to be lacking in skills and potential.

In some cases, the spike can be extreme, and some may have an exceptional ability, or a 'savant' skill.
