Compliments to the Chef

CTTC REVISED // TEASER:

“You’re supposed to lick the spoon,” he said. “It’s tradition.”

Levy squinted at him, then at the spoon, still covered in the sticky beginnings of cake mixture. Her face wrinkled into another one of those uncertain expressions. He could see the mental conflict in every twitch of skin.

“Isn’t that kind of…"

Gajeel rolled his eyes. "You mention one word of hygiene to me after last night and I’ll–”

The spoon hit him right between the eyes. It dropped into his hand and he shrugged, popping it into his mouth without a word. Her loss.

“Last night wasn’t."

The way she stopped gave him pause. The words cut dead like someone had just switched her off mid-sentence, and her face showed no signs of waking. She’d frozen completely. Horror drained to leave a pale mask on Levy’s face. Gajeel watched it crumble slowly. He popped the spoon from his mouth and turned, following her gaze over the service window into the restaurant.

“Gajeel…” Her voice seemed a world away. “In the restaurant. There’s a man.”

Impossible. They hadn’t even opened the door yet. Unless…

The spoon slipped from his fingers. The loud clatter of metal on tile seemed to slow time. Levy’s hand caught his arm, but Gajeel barely felt it. The man was sprawled out in one of the booths, a mess of greying hair folded across his face like curtains. Gajeel didn’t need to see him to know.

Metalicana was home.

Legends

Series: Fairy Tail Pairing: Gajevy Rating: T for implied naughties. AU: Legend of Zelda; Sheilkah/Knight.
A/N: This is a lil something I wrote because it’s someone’s very special day!!! Happy Birthday @smartcookie727!! I love you to the moon and back!!
Summary: With no sign of her power awakening, Princess Lucy is beginning to lose hope. With the aid of Gajeel redfox, Levy sets out on a journey to find the Chosen Hero, and restore Lucy’s faith in the future.

“I bet he doesn’t exist.”

Levy snapped the book closed, dust billowing from old pages. She watched it swirl in the light, avoiding Gajeel’s fiery stare lest his negativity become contagious. “How could you even say that, Gajeel?” She coughed against her arm. “He has to exist. Lucy depends on him.”

“Last I heard, Lucy didn’t need anyone’s help. What happened to all this mystical power?”

Levy’s stomach twisted. She didn’t want to say it, but the truth couldn’t be ignored. Not if they had any hope of surviving. They had to be prepared for every instance: including Lucy’s failure.

“It hasn’t awakened.” She paused. “Not yet.”

The slow wind chilled, and Gajeel shuffled closer, his shoulder a soft brush against Levy’s own. She drew her knees to her chest and huffed. She wouldn’t be appeased by sentiment. He couldn’t frighten her in one moment and comfort her the next. It didn’t work that way. And she was frightened–for Fiore, for Lucy, and for herself.

Beneath them, the stone steps leading into the spring still glittered from the morning rain. Levy couldn’t help but wonder if it had washed away their hopes, as well as the thick heat of a merciless summer day. The breeding darkness had been a welcomed change from that stifling warmth, but now she’d give anything to see the sunlight again. There was something about sitting in darkness that made Levy’s chest hurt deep with regret. Regret that she couldn’t do more. Regret that she was so…

So useless.

“It won’t be long,” she said, the words plunging like blocks of ice into her stomach. “We’ll lose everything. Everyone. Acnologia will…”

“I’ll protect you,” he said, as though his duty was to Levy and not the the royal family. To all of Fiore.

Bbbyyyyy!!! Thank you omg this was too cute!!!! Also perfect cause gajevy in LOZ!AU is just *chef's kiss* I am forever grateful to the threads of the world that brought us together. It's been 4 years?!??? Insanity. Perfect bday gift now that we're old together 💕🤣

[Overtime]

Fandom: Fairy Tail. Pairing: Gajevy [Gajeel/Levy]. POV: Levy.  Rating: M - explicit. AU Setting: Modern | Office.
Setting: When Levy’s new promotion keeps her in the office on New Year’s Eve, Gajeel brings the party to her.
A/N: Idk I wanted to write smut and NYE seemed like a good theme so here you go you lucky ducks. I wrote this kinda quickly so I’m sorry for typos I was just in a mood. It’s also been a hot minute since I wrote from Levy’s POV. If this isn’t enough to sate your appetite, you can find my most recent Gajevy naughties from Gajeel’s POV here.
This sweetness of the forbidden apple tempts you. The impulse awakens the senses in this sweet flow. Will leave you wanting more, thirsting for more. Hot, hot. Teasing you slowly. Hot, hot. Making you fall for me with no limit.

Fifteen minutes.

Fifteen minutes until a brand new year. Levy’s eyes flickered tiredly to the clock by the window offering a view of the city far below, watching the minute hand drag itself almost reluctantly to that glaring nine.

For most people, New Year’s Eve was cause for celebration, a reason to surround yourself with loved ones and drink yourself into a stupor. For Levy, it was just another deadline.

Another night without Gajeel.

She’d always wanted to work with books. That much was true. And to think she could do that–marketing new stories, sharing them with the world–from such an extravagant office, lavish with furnishings she could only afford in her dreams, well, it ought to be a good thing. But this dark room, lit only by a tree lamp in the far corner, and the faintest lick of moonlight at the window, seemed vastly empty.
