"GET OUT OF MY SWAMP" screams baz at the (handsome) insolent donkey on his property. The donkey blinks back with large blue eyes. "Get out of my thoughts, then." Baz doesn't know what to say. "O - onions..." he stammers. "Yes, Basilton. Onions." They share a passionate kiss as the sun sets.

Is this somehow related to shrek?

I don’t think shrek has anything to with this lol wyd

I think this post dives deep into the mind of our dear tyrannosaurus. I’d like to dive deeper. Give me a minute to organize my thoughts.

First, snow obviously embodies the donkey. In the wonderful shriek movies, donkey is hated by Shrek at first. He pulls Shrek out of his comfort zone, sets the ball rolling for his evacuation of the swamp.

Snow does this to Baz as well. When he first came to watford, he knew how it worked. He grew up there. Now, here’s this child taking his spot as “child to the headmaster” or whatever else which makes him feel threatened which leads us back to the story of Shrek

Second, the blue eyed donkey saying “get out of my thoughts” is quite the representation for snow. The word insolent implies that the “donkey” is acting disrespectful but honestly, it seems he’s just confused, saying a sentence like that out of nowhere. He’s bad with words. Just like Simon

Finally, Baz falling into mumbling Mumbo jumbo and simon agreeing with said jumbo etcetera, shows that, though we thought simon was just being a confused donkey, they really are in each other’s heads.

And honestly the kissing was just inevitable.

stop professionally analyzing this cursed ask

warnings: blood, killing a monster

  • Based on this quote:
  • “Sharing a room you hate most is like sharing a room with a siren. (The kind on police cars, not the kind who try to entrap you when you cross the English Channel.)” -Simon Snow, pg. 166
  • AU where Simon and Baz cross the English channel on a quest, but Baz gets seduced by a siren on their way

thank you to @acraycratfangirl and @the-jeans for being my amazing betas!
