Not to mention that it was struck out in a way that should have been illegal.

The IAU has over 10,000 members.

Less than 500 voted on it. They put it through on a day that was almost guaranteed to have no one be there so they could force Pluto into being a Dwarf planet.

Basically, it was complete bs, and due to a pass by, it may even be remade into a planet. (Considering that they had to adjust the rules they originally put down to keep Earth as a planet? Yeah, they were, specifically, for some reason, trying to strike Pluto off the list)

It was either demote Pluto or promote Eris (and another in that group) iirc, so we not only lost Pluto but also failed to embrace the first planet that would be named after a goddess... the goddess of strife, to be exact.
