Trying to learn how to work with 12 colors (instead of my usual 2-3) using my first coloring book as an adult. Also studying color combinations from images that catch my eye—Paul Klee, vintage stationery designs, and the Manga Sekai Mukashi Banashi series."
thought you might want to know that your current blog theme (at metalmiku.tumblr.com) keeps crashing my browser (ToT) ! Not sure if it's just me but I can't view your blog from there. Makes me sad since I love your work!! BTW, how are you these days, what are you up to?
Thanks for the notification! I’ll have to switch to a more stable theme.
I spent some time doing 3D work at StillRunning, but now I’m back to job hunting and focusing on my comic, Jumalan Pojat. I'm also trying to relearn how to use more colors in my art.
I recently got my first coloring book as an adult, and constantly coloring with just 12 colored pencils has really made me start exploring new color combinations and layering techniques. It didn’t take long to exhaust my usual go-to palettes, so now I’m seeking inspiration from Paul Klee, 80s-90s stationery designs, and the Manga Sekai Mukashi Banashi series (1976). Hopefully, this color phase of mine will last a while!

This account is for anyone who loves ’90s girls’ stationery. I’m sharing items you could find in Finnish paper shops between 1990 and 2003—many of them came from Tiimari.
A few years ago, I met up with my friend after a long time. She had kept all her cute ’90s notepapers and sticker books, which was such a wonderful surprise. I had often thought about those papers—years ago, we used to swap patterned sheets with each other. I asked if I could borrow them and ended up scanning everything.
Towards the end of the ’90s, Tiimari started carrying stationery from South Korea, and I was so excited! My sister and I went to every Tiimari store in Helsinki to track down every unique Korean stationery set that we could find (they were like our “poor teens’” artbooks).
We participated in the 6th Annual Spooktober Visual Novel Jam with my two siblings. I handled the art and visual design, and for the backgrounds, I mainly used photo collage/photobashing techniques. The photo materials are from Pexels, along with a few of my own photos.

Morbid: The Lords of Ire - Unused Cover Art
This is my unused cover art from the game Morbid: The Lords of Ire.
In this cover art, I utilized 3D models of monsters I had sculpted for the game, which I then painted over in Photoshop to achieve the final look (and it has the older project name on it). While the final cover was created by other artists, they did use some of the elements from this.
In Morbid also I sculpted and textured the monsters, NPCs, and assets, which I will share later.

In a future dominated by Skynet, the only music available might be produced by AI, such as Skynet's Valentine's Day albums. Only a foolish rookie medic finds herself inadvertently entranced by them.
Drawing by me, technical aspects by my brother. Album art, song lyrics, and songs created by AI (DALL·E, ChatGPT, and Suno.AI). My most used prompt: 'Create awkward and creepy Terminator songs aimed at human women.'

Psalm 23
A psalm of David.
1 The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing. 2 He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, 3 he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. 4 Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. 5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. 6 Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

Terminator Advent Calendar -2024
I'm a bit late, but I'm can now unveil our Terminator-themed Advent Calendar. This was crafted in collaboration with Elias Tertsunen, using ChatGPT's DALL-E and Focus, with some additional touches in Photoshop. The cover image on the calendar subtly hints at its theme.
