Born to Ala Mhigans fleeing to Thanalan during the Mad King’s reign, Percival’s parents did everything in their power to ensure that her lifetime was one of opportunity rather than one of endless strife. Although her parents died in her teenage years at the hands of Amalj’aa bandits, their work for a trading company taught Percival all she needed to know about running a business—and brought her closer to the woman she would eventually marry, Ilyia Rigel.
However, their happiness was not to last; Iliya died during the Calamity. She was left in full their trading company, and while it is certainly in capable hands, Percival no longer finds any joy in running it and outsources this responsibility wherever possible. Now, at thirty and two summers, Percival finds herself called to horizons beyond the walls of Ul'dah.
Profession(s): Merchant—Head of the Rigel Trading Company, which she started with her wife several years before the Calamity.
Alignment: Good-aligned. Loyal to the Eorzean Alliance. Has contributed some business profits to the Ala Mhigan Resistance behind closed doors prior to official Alliance involvement, and she continues to support the reconstruction effort in small ways.
Professional Talents: Business—Money management. Administration. Negotiation. Culinary Arts—but not baking. Knifework—Might seem like a given due to her skill in the kitchen, but she’s not bad at throwing them, either. She has remained mum on where she picked up these skills.
Likely Haunts: Ul'dah—Especially the Exchanges. Does all of her own shopping, despite being wealthy enough to be able to just pay someone to do it for her, probably. Limsa Lominsa—Regarded as a high point of the Eorzean Culinary world, Percival makes a point of spending as much time in Limsa Lominsa as possible.
Hobbies & Interests: Cooking. Collects weapons.
Abbreviated Bio: Percival Rigel is a widowed merchant Monetarist. Her parents fled to Thanalan during the Mag King’s reign just before the Garlean occupation. She acquired business skills and met her wife in part because her parents were keen on making sure that Percival grew up with more opportunities than they had been afforded.
Although she never knew Ala Mhigo, it’s one of the few soft spots she still has since her wife died, and has contributed small tokens of support to the Resistance even before the Eorzean Alliance became formally involved in ending the Garlean occupation. Now, she’s closed-off and secretive, spending much of her time away from the comforts of her home and instead finding solace in Limsa Lominsa and the sea.

For all practical purposes a ghost, this Elezen only appears on public records as far back as three summers ago. It’s likely, then, that he’s chosen to live under an assumed name. He tends to use his appearance to his advantage, passing himself off as a Wildwood whenever it suits his interests—which, given the discrimination that Duskwights face, is more often than not.
He first stepped into the public’s eye as an academic—and, unbeknownst to all but those closest to him, the proprietor of The Cloak & Dagger (under the alias “Crow”). He is passionate about magicks, especially arcanima, and has a demonstrated talent for alchemy, both beyond what one may expect of a man who’s only twenty and one summers old.

Having run away from home and come to Ul’dah, he quickly had to find a way to make money, which led him to dip his toes into the criminal underworld… and after he took the plunge, he never looked back. He took advantage of his new-found freedom (both in person and, to an extent, in finances) to continue his studies into the flow of aether and alchemy.

Self-proclaimed reporter Hanako wants to interview the masses (one at a time of course) to create thrilling stories and send them to her father’s newpaper publishing company back home. What is “People of Eorzea”? People of Eorzea is an interactive interview session, based off the real-life Humans of New York. It acts similar, where we approach you IC to talk and your short story will be posted on our page, complete with a screenshot!
How do I take this IC? Feel free to come across the aforementioned newspaper to read each person’s anonymous story. Anonymous is the key word, as anyone who’s tagged is completely OOC, for visibility purposes. So please don’t metagame!
The IC newspaper comes from Kugane named The Rising Dragon, and the stories are found on the second page under the International section. The screenshots are NOT IC and instead they’re realistic renditions of the interviewee based off the actual screenshot. The screenshots are just for fun!

Where many would benefit from being tight-lipped about their pasts, Wren allows herself to be an open book—that is, if you don’t mind the fact that the story will change just about every time you ask. As a travelling bard, music follows Wren wherever she goes. All that’s really certain about her is that she’s not from around here, and that she’s rarely seen without her violin.
Bursting full of energy, Wren might strike others as a little strange. Those that do, however, would be well-advised to keep their opinions to herself; she has been barred entry from several taverns for inciting one too many brawls, and she has a mean streak when drunk. That said, keeping quiet might not do much good, since it’s just as likely that she’ll pick a fight for the thrill of it.
Profession(s): Bard—She would describe it as more of a lifestyle, though. She’s never seen without her violin, and even when she’s not playing there’s an almost musical lilt to her voice. It’s obvious that she takes her job very seriously. Cartographer—In her travels, she can often be caught drawing maps, and if she’s not tuning or playing her violin, she’s probably drawing.
Alignment: Unknown—Wren claims allegiance to the Eorzean Alliance, but it’s pretty obvious from her at times almost child-like fascination with Eorzea and its people that she’s not from around here.
Professional Talents: Music—Violin and voice. She’s energetic when she plays, and skilled enough that she can carry a tune with her instrument while in motion. Drawing—Primarily map-making, but she can also do still-life. Hopeless with figure drawing, however. Archery comes in handy while she’s on the road and needs to seriously defend herself from beasts and bandits, but she’s only as good with a bow as she needs to be.
Likely Haunts: Eorzea at-large. Anywhere she can play her music or get a good drink.
Hobbies & Interests: Thrills—Brawls, drinking, contests, adventures. Travelling. Art, though she scorns any attempt to analyze said art.
Abbreviated Bio: Born in [REDACTED] to a dancer and a father that she never knew, Wren was instilled with a love for music at a young age, though she also found that she was smothered by it. There is a short list of people who, if you reblog from or associate with them at all, I can and will block you without warning for either being TERFs or being for some reason OK with TERF beliefs and mindsets.
