evelyn snorted, rolling her eyes playfully. it almost always came down to that--being too busy. one thing she had promised herself when she decided to become an idol is that she wouldn’t let it control the way she lived her life. companies dictated every single aspect of their artists’ lives, and evelyn couldn’t stand with that. she refused. she ate when she wanted. she talked to whoever she wanted to, whenever she wanted to. and fear of what her manager or ceo would do was never on her mind. evelyn was always busy, too--there was always something on her plate, big or small, and for that reason she never realized what that was the excuse. she’d rather people say that they haven’t found a person who they like or even one they could take seriously. but too busy? nah, that was an excuse. that was fear. of the company, sure. of the fans, maybe. or maybe it was just something within themselves. who knows, but evie wasn’t using that one. “do i have to count the ones i walked out on?” she joked, throwing her chocolate locks from her shoulders. “let’s just say that i’ve been on a lot of dates that i’d wish to forget. i was dating at sixteen, even with a dating ban.” she nodded, shrugging her shoulders. “i got in trouble, but what could they do? drop me, and i’d be back up by someone else.” she snorted, recalling all the times she was threatened by her ceo and managers. “it’s simple--i made the time. love wasn’t something i wanted to miss out on, and i wasn’t going to let anyone take the option from me either.” she explained, swinging her feet back and forth as they dangled a few inches from the floor. “i’m as busy as it gets, but making the time was something i was going to do whether anyone liked it or not, including myself. that’s why i don’t take that!” she exclaimed, reaching to pull something from the younger girl’s hair. “that’s why i say, go for it. you find something you like--or love--and you for it. don’t let being ‘busy’ be an excuse. idol life takes most of you, but don’t let it take the love you deserve.” she pulled her hand back, rubbing her hands against her jeans. “and i don’t mind. you can ask me anything you want, whenever. it makes me think i’ve got my own talk show.” evelyn chuckled, running her fingers through her hair.
