Link grinned and giggled, and, honestly when you were in the company of such a happy and joyful sphere, how could you not? Well, Link supposed when he was beating you up during the tournament.

Link wasn’t sure if Pac-Man could speak any language he knew, whether it be Hylian, or, as it was known here, English, or even sign language, Link decided it would be a good gesture of friendship to offer him a piece of fruit.

---- Upon being offered a piece of fruit, Pac-Man lets out a few excited chimes, quickly snatching up the tasty treat and chomping it down with a satisfying ‘wakka’! He licks his lips afterwards, smiling brightly! Nothing like a good ol’ fruit to sate that infinite hunger of his! Of course, Pac was a pretty friendly guy... so to repay Link’s gesture, the sphere holds his gloved hand to the sky, and begins concentrating.

A glow emanates from his hands... and suddenly, a hefty melon appears! ‘O’ shaped mouth turning back to a smile, Pac-Man holds the melon out to Link, making more retro-sounding beep noises in the process.

Link had been a staple of the Super Smash Brothers contests ever since the first, however, many, many more competitors had joined the roster since then.

One other Smash competitor he had… honestly not given that much attention to was a one Pac-Man. He intended to rectify this, as he walked past Pit, Sonic, and Snake, he softly tapped the short, round yellow being on the… shoulder? And extended a hand.

---- A soft ‘blip’ of confusion leaves the yellow sphere’s mouth, as he whips around to see who was poking him. ... Upon recognizing it as the hero of time himself, though... Pac-Man gave a large grin, swiftly taking Link’s hand and giving it a few friendly, yet hearty shakes. Always nice to meet a legend or two in your time, huh?!

After the handshake was over, Pac gave his signature thumbs-up, a series of melodic beeps sounding off, that somewhat resembled a joy-filled laugh.

---- The problem with toting so much Namco memorabilia around... is when you lose sight of it. ... Perhaps even worse than that, however, is when you DO have sight of something... but can’t seem to get a good hold on it.

Right now is one good example. Here’s Pac-Man, making some loud, shout-like noises, as he chases around the Galaga ship fruitlessly, while it fires lasers around with no rhyme or reason. Thankfully, there didn’t seem to be anyone around at the moment... which is precisely why he had to snag the thing before it started causing REAL trouble!!

... Wait, scratch that -- Someone IS coming! ... And the ship is now headed straight for them. ... As if he didn’t have enough problems already.

Link wasn’t even hungry to snag the last slice, but never trying pizza before made him curious. Knowing the black-hole of a stomach the yellow veteran had made him turn down the temptation. He didn’t expect him to willing offer the slice to the hylian.

The boy was in awe, he was gonna hug this lemon drop if it meant showing his gratitude.

---- It was clear enough to the ghost-chomper that Link was pretty darn happy. ... And as they say, happiness is completely contagious! Combine that easily-spread ‘disease’ with Pac-Man, who was pretty much ALWAYS happy, and you get a gleeful, bleeping sphere of joy!

A thumbs-up from the short-stack, yellow ball! A happy guy he is, always ready to lend a helping hand... or in this case, a slice of pizza pie. Whatever worked! He just really liked seeing people happy!

... Unless it was, you know, that kind of ‘happy’ certain people get from doing cruddy, evil stuff. In that case, he’d have to take out the old butt-kicking gloves again. But Link is a good boy, he knew that much at least! No worries here!

Honestly, he couldn’t see the appeal of a robot JUST for singing... but he was just skeptical of robots ever since Orson. ... But at least this one was cool. So he wasn’t going to spout out something that might be taken as... rude or unfeeling.

“ I’m 37... but my wife always tells me stuff like ‘Oh you’re only as 37 as you feel, Pac!’ every birthday. But, I feel pretty 37... ”
