Life as you know it depends on the ground beneath your feet.

No, really. The food you like, the fruits and vegetables and animals that make your favorite dishes. Unless you exclusively eat seaweed and fish and nothing else - you need earth. Rich earth, bursting with the forgotten life of organisms from before. Packed earth, strong and sturdy and nearly impenetrable to the wear of wheels on its surface.

Thank the first for earth.

I think everyone knows how important water is (70% of the human body, anyone?) and lightning (don’t you like wifi?) is. But it’s so easy to forget the earth.

I could never forget the earth.

Even if the earth forgot me.

“Tell them, then, Cole.”

His voice dripped with venom as it echoed around them, chilling in its strange familiarity.

“Tell them why I’m here, like this, while you stand with them as if you belong.”

Shout out to @razzle-zazzle for coming through on my random inspiration call and having some beautiful aus to choose from 🥳

Do you have any fluff Oni Lloyd headcanon?

Avatar

Fluff Oni Lloyd…let’s see if we can get that generator going 🤔

- Purrs, obviously, especially when seeing people he hasn’t in a hot minute, or when eating his favorite foods

- Has very nice, soft Oni fur, but it tends to stick out oddly, making him look like a teenager that rolled out of bed .5 seconds ago, or incredibly bewildered

- Has some magpie-like tendencies, anything shiny and/or fidgety, and Jay often supplies him with random little fidgets just for fun :)

“Guys venom tastes weird.”

“WHY DO YOU KNOW THAT”

“…Because the fangs taste weird. But they don’t? Like - like fake cherry? Mixed with pennies?”

*assorted concerned and intrigued faces at the dinner table*

Deeply curious about what the pic in your header means, as a new-yet decade old fan. I was also wondering if your old offer to scream about stellar fics in the Ninjago fandom is still up?

Hah! My friend Mel made that, as a joke about my preference for writing, drawing, and reading angst.

As far as that…hmmm…I believe there is a written fic about @spinchip’s Nice Emperor au on AO3 that is lovely, but if I had to pick a favorite it would probably be the Lost Soul set by DietCokeisLife on Fanfiction.net.

Anything more than those two I’d have to go on a rereading tour!

Quick PSA, if you get one of those "Work scanned, AI use detected" comments on AO3, just mark them as spam.

Some moron apparently built a bot to annoy or prank hundreds of authors.

There is no scanning process, your work doesn't actually resemble AI writing, it's all bullshit. Mark the comment as spam (on AO3, not the email notification you got about the comment!) and don't let it get to you.

The spam comments have evolved.

They are now also linking to a site they claim is able to scan works and tell you whether they were AI written or not, and that you should do that before reading a fic.

It should go without saying that you should not, under no circumstances, visit a site advertised in a spam comment.

In this case, I'd say there's even a chance that the "scanning" site is actually used to scrape fics and use them for future AI writing. What it definitely doesn't do is tell you whether something was AI written or not. That's a bullshit claim.

Don't use that site. Don't believe these spam comments, whether you get them on your own works or see them on someone else's.

It's all bullshit.
