Shoutout to all the people who work tirelessly to keep their fandoms going, even after canon has ended. Kudos to the mods who organize rewatches, fic challenges, and other fandom events. High fives to the people who keep posting new art, fic, meta, and headcanons. A collective pat on the back for the people who like, reblog, and comment on the new fanworks and remember the older works as well.

If you’re on Tumblr reading this, chances are good that you fall into one of these categories. So shoutout to YOU, and to all of us.

THINKING about how ainsley probably thought their mother loved malcolm more bc he was allowed to see their father and his trauma was validated (at least from her perspective) while she was forced to repress everything ...meanwhile malcolm probably thought their mother loved ainsley more because she was the "perfect" child, the one who wasn't "broken," the one who was "normal"

two semi-related thoughts that have been drifting through my head recently:

1. martin is a v good example of the difference between warmth and kindness. he smiles and uses pet names and shows all kinds of affection and basically projects the right image, but the actual message he's conveying so warmly is almost invariably manipulative, undermining, and callous

2. ainsley coming across as "cold" is actually the opposite of martin, not the same - martin genuinely doesn't care about other people beyond what they can give him, but he's great at pretending to. ainsley, however, really does care about and value her family, but she suppresses her emotions (partly to try and support them/not get in the way!) and because she doesn't have the kind of social awareness martin does, she sometimes overshoots "calm and dependable" and lands at "uncaring".

essentially: martin is warm but not kind. ainsley is sometimes cold, but v rarely unkind (except in a few panicked/paranoid moments, and all the whitlys are guilty of that)

Bat and Super dynamics are interesting and all but Bat and Wonder dynamics are fucking hilarious cause from what I've gathered, when you strip them to their bare essentials you've got;

Diana: You could just kill them and stop them from hurting those you love.

Bruce: I get the urge sometimes, but my moral code-

Diana, understands why he has the code but that doesn't mean she agrees with it: Pussy.

--

Donna: aim for the head!

Dick, knowing full well it'll kill the guy but his faith in Donna overrides his logic: okay!

Dick, after killing him: oh my God :( why did you tell me to do that :( he's dead now :(

Donna: it's okay. He was a horrible guy.

Dick: oh okay. I believe you.

--

Artemis: we're killing them.

Jason: I'm so in love with you that it like physically hurts sometimes.

--

Cassie: we should just kill these fucking people

Tim: hell yeah let's do it

Cassie: not gonna question it?

Tim: why would I?

--

I'm sure there's a case about morality and dynamics to be made here but this is just so funny to me

cheers to the “bruce wayne is not batman” tag on ao3

or alternatively, au where dr wayne moonlights at doc thompkins clinic where he keeps meeting these teen vigilantes….. WHOSE kids are these? who let these INFANTS out to fight crime? anyway he uses his sleeper detective skills to track down the vigilantes and…??? be their dad??

omg wait. the drake estate also has a cave system underneath that tim finds and opens it up as a base of operations and thats where the bat theme came from. i TAKE your batcave and i SHIFT it one plot of land to the left.
