Did I just discover a huge plot hole in Sherlock? At John's wedding, Janine says to Sherlock in the hall after reception: "I wish you weren't ... whatever you are". And he says: "I know". Which we always understood she meant he was gay.

Then in the next episode they are dating? He's proposing to her? She's expecting sex from him?

What am I missing here?

I like it, but ‘everything we’ve ever wanted’ is still a way off yet for me. I’m grateful there’s no sign of Mary (yet?), but there’s no Johnlock (yet?) either, the constant blaspheming is getting a bit wearing (if you’re going to have the characters swearing, have them make some different choices) and Sherlock has made some OOC grammatical errors. (Yes, I’m a pedant.) Still, I’m glad it’s breathing some new life into the fandom.

👆 I agree - on the johnlock part, on the Mary part (thank God), yeah it's awesome but I stand by my words: will not re-listen if there's no johnlock. (And will re-listen a million times if there is).

I want a lot more I guess, what can I do.

But yeah it is a great podcast with awesome humor, awesome acting, awesome cases, character development etc etc. Absolutely deserves all accolades.

He’s not purposely a bastard you know. He tries to diffuse difficult situations with humour but humour is a bit alien to him (at least humour as most people see it).

I just started watching Sherlock Holmes in the 22nd Century out curiosity because I saw a few clips on YouTube and thought I should check it out. This show has NO RIGHT to be as good as it is. Is it’s the best adaptation ever? No. But is it surprisingly good for the one of the strangest premises I have seen in Sherlock Holmes adaptations I have seen to date? Yes. Holmes are Watson are still totally gay despite Watson being essentially an AI trained with Watson’s diary entries and whatnot and Holmes being a reanimated 200 year old preserved corpse. Holmes goes from denying that robot Watson is actually Watson to admitting that he needs him and inviting him to live in 221B with him.

Touché.

Ouch. Poor Sherlock. You spend two years disassembling an international crime syndicate to save your nearest and dearest and this is the thanks he gets.

ah, and the parallel continues: in ASIP, what do we bet sherlock asked mycroft to collect john because he realized he dashed off without him. in TLD, we see mycroft tracking sherlock on a map. pretty sure i remember reading this idea back in s4 semester.

Johnlock deniers can ignore the eyesex and the obvious flirting and the handholding, but they can't ignore Sherlock running to save John's life and going through literal fire to get to him while his FIANCEE just screams.
