Thereโs a person on another site who wants to play Tommyโs and Kimโs oc kid, but the thing is that they want to have the storyline take place during Dino Thunder. Tommy and Kimberly were only 28 years old (around that, anyway) during DT, which would put any child of theirโs around 11 at the oldest.
Not from a logical standpoint. Even if Tommy knew about any kid that he had with Kimberly, heโd refuse to allow Kimberly to bring said child anywhere near Reefside with all of the monster attacks and the Ranger stuff. Neither he nor Kim would willingly put an 11 year old child near that sort of danger. Theyโre smart, they know better than anyone the dangers of even being in an area where Ranger shit is happening. Plus, like HELL would Tommy willingly allow his ELEVEN YEAR OLD CHILD to be a Ranger. Hell, Iโm sure if he had a say in it, he wouldnโt even allowed JUSTIN anywhere near Ranger stuff (which, btw that ridiculous shit shouldnโt have happened. damn writers).
Post Dino Thunder would work better. Maybe something during the Legendary War? Thereโs a lot of possibilities for Tommyโs kid POST DINO THUNDER. This isnโt just a roleplaying mistake, but also a mistake that Iโve seen happen multiple times in fanfics (before I gave up reading them altogether).
Honestly, I donโt mind kid ocโs for my Tommy and/or my Kimberly as long as theyโre well written and they make sense. And, of course, the person TALKS to me BEFORE replying to any of my roleplays or throwing their character headlong at me.
People, please think these things through before making any kid characters! Think about the characters themselves, the timeline, how certain events would effect your character as a whole, think about how much a canon has to change if there was a kid thrown into the mix. Make sure that the storyline that you want to do fits in logically with the timeline that you want to do it in. Iโm not saying donโt do it because thatโs not my place, but just please, please, please put some effort into it and think!
