Ateez as Cheesy Christmas Movie Plots | X-mas 2021

Hongjoong: Hongjoong became the adult he always feared - addicted to work with rare time off. He lost count of how many holidays he missed just to put in some overtime ; living alone meant he had no one else to attend to. You have a little dog-walking business that keeps you busy 24/7 too, but you’d rather spend the holidays with animals anyway. You two would meet on Hongjoong’s walk home, flirtatiously exchanging numbers. Slowly, as Christmas approached and your city prepared for the festivities, you and Hongjoong started going on winter themed dates: ice skating, attending festivals, ect. You both found a new meaning for Christmas, and spent it together at Hongjoong’s place - with a decorated apartment and delicious, homemade holiday cookies. 

Seongwha: Seonghwa is an overworked lawyer who was looking forward to taking a break for the holidays. You’re somewhat of a watchdog journalist, waiting for your moment to strike on the hot-topic scandal of the season. Right before his much deserved vacation began, you visited his firm to begin your investigation. There was instant tension and chemistry as you asked him questions, and by the look in his eye, he felt it too. Seongwha ditched his getaway after that - wanting to fight against your article, and you both eventually ended up in the court to settle the case. Seongwha was successful in bringing the win to the victims, and after having a sudden change of heart, you apologized for the commotion caused; the humility would show Seonghwa a new side of you, leading up to wonderfully spent Christmas: together.

Yunho:  You and Yunho lived in a small town and every year around the holidays, your family opened up their annual Christmas tree farm. One summer, the mayor announced a festive upgrade: a factory for artificial trees. The CEO in charge just so happened to be your father’s very own childhood rival, choosing to open the factory just to fuel a competition spanning over a decade and a half. The major issue: it would take your family's land. You would start small for support: confiding in your childhood best friend/crush Yunho for help. With him on your side, you were able to drum up enough petition signatures that overturned the company’s plans. Of course you’d fall in love in the process and Yunho would start working for your family's business, enjoying nothing more than spending time with you on Christmas.

Yeosang:  Raising a little human was a lot harder than Yeosang thought; After adopting his young niece, the holiday season was putting a lot of stress on his shoulders. He hasn’t hosted a Christmas celebration for anyone, let alone a child. One night, up late contemplating plans, he encounters you, alone and cold, walking along the sidewalk in front of his house. You’re the ghost of Christmas past. You’re welcomed into his home and by his niece, showing Yeosang what Christmas could be like for her through the eyes of his younger self. Together you create an unbreakable bond, teaching one another patience, faith, and how to open your heart. But upon the fateful morning, your time with him was supposedly up; that was, until, by the wonder and festive magic, you were granted your own wish: to join in and spend Christmas with the one you love most, Yeosang.

San:  When the holidays came along, San wanted nothing more than to go back to his hometown. His manager agreed, as long as he would return to LA in time for his televised concert on Christmas Eve. When San came home and toured the town with his parents, he’d rekindle with you at your parents' convenience store. You and San always had a crush on each other and seeing each other for the first time in years, your love for one another sparked again. Leaving for the concert would be extremely difficult for San, it also meant his upcoming tour would keep you even further apart. As you watched San on your own TV, he dedicated his opening song to you, before ditching it entirely, hopping on the first flight back home to spend the holiday with you.

Mingi:  Mingi was a musician who was in the early stages of burnout - DJing at a reputable ski lodge for various events. You were a bride-to-be with cold feet; everything had gone wrong, as if the universe was screaming at you not to go through with it. Your bridal party was having their separate parties a few days before your Christmas wedding at the lodge. When you met Mingi, there was an instant connection and you couldn’t take your eyes off of one another. You bonded over similar interests and Mingi’s excitement over the holiday shows coming up. The night before the wedding, you spotted your fiance kissing your Maid of Honor! You took the situation as the last straw and called off the wedding, choosing to spend Christmas with Mingi instead.

Wooyoung: Wooyoung was a King-to-be, and as spoiled as they come. His parents were running out of time to get their son in tip-top shape for his upcoming coronation in the new year. Desperate for results, they ship him off to a standard small town to be hosted by a commoner family, with you among them. First impressions at school weren’t the best for him either - it was gonna be a bumpy few weeks. The whole month was a process to get through, but when you started taking Wooyoung Christmas shopping for your family, you saw a spark of change in his persona; including him sending Christmas presents home to his own family. With his change of heart, you started seeing Wooyoung’s sweetness and couldn’t help falling for him. One thing you didn’t know was that Wooyoung was preparing a heartfelt present for you! On Christmas morning, Wooyoung made sure to exchange last. Your present was a beautiful set of jewelry; earrings, necklace, bracelet and all - and the most tear jerking confession of love you’ve ever heard! When his last week with your family came around, he couldn’t bear to leave without you, and offered you a priceless position as his Queen.

Jongho:  You and Jongho were co-workers who shared an equal amount of distaste for Christmas. Being called a Scrooge was more than annoying, so despite working in two separate departments, you and Jongho bonded well without hearing the comments of your peers. In your department, your coworkers had started asking you if you had a date to your boss's upcoming Christmas party. You, of course, told them no, and that you weren’t even planning on going. Little did you know that Jongho was going through the same torment with his own colleagues. As you talked about your experience over lunch, you decided it would be best if you two went together to finally put an end to the teasing. There was a Secret Santa gift exchange all the while, and both of you were obligated to participate in attendance. As you shopped, as well as wrapping the presents, you never realized how much of a crush you had on one another. On the night of the Christmas party you two put on your best forced smiles and mingled with your coworkers. After an hour or two, you realized that pretending to be a couple wasn’t so bad after all. The cherry on top was the excitement on your coworkers face when she opened her dancing cat figurine. Maybe the holidays weren’t as terrible as you thought; especially with the sweet kiss you shared with Jongho under the mistletoe.

Winter Activities w/ BTS | X-mas 2021

Jin: Pinterest crafts

You and Jin woke up to snow on the ground and what crazier idea would it be to make winter themed crafts together? It was totally Jin’s idea by the way. It’d be quite an adventure: from dressing not warm enough, to the heart attack educing slides on the snow because Jin thinks it’ll be fun to go fast, you eventually make it to the craft store and spend WAY too much money. Then when you get home, your crafts don’t turn out half bad HOWEVER, good luck getting the glitter out of the carpet~  

Yoongi: Making winter themed cookies

Okay hear me out, this isn’t like Namjoon’s section- you’re both going to try your best AND follow a recipe. You’re normally a slice and bake with some raw bites kind of couple, but you two take on the challenge of decorating the cookies with fondant and royal icing. Yoongi also has the bright idea to make the cookies for winter gifts so the pressure is ON pun intended. The process is a mess- especially when Yoongs drops the flour all over the floor, but at least no one got salmonella. Decorating the cookies would be a challenge for you both, and your dedication only made Yoongi wanna try his best to make his cookies turn out perfect. Which you totally killed decorating those cookies btw.  

J-Hope: Winter festival 

Probably one of my personal favs! Imagine the adorable pictures you two would take!! When it would get darker earlier in the day, you’ll finally take a trip to the fair grounds and go to the festival- you gotta soak up all the feels you can get, ya know? You’ll spend the whole evening there tbh, eating all the delicious treats you can, test tasting hot cocoa like it’s a wine tasting, and winter themed carnival games! We won’t talk about how much money Hobi would spend on one particular game, but Hobi was determined to win you that abominable snowman plushie. Bonus points if you get cold and Hobi gives you his jacket!

Namjoon: Bake off

Bake off with NO recipes. I don’t know who’s idea it was for this event, but I’m not gonna put the full disaster on Joon. You two have to survive off take out and by the grace of your families. You’d end up with a bunch of extra baking supplies from a get together with the boys and you wouldn’t want the money spent going to waste. You each unintentionally choose a baked good that you don’t have all the ingredients to, but you have to make it work. Then two hours later and some very interesting smells coming from the oven- your baked goods are somehow completely baked. You two decide to make it a game of who’s not gonna throw up and yes- the baked goods are that bad. And eventually your cupcakes caused less gaging than Joon’s cookies.  

Jimin: Winter drink contest

Okay hear me out because I think this has a lot of potenial! It’s actually completely up to you on what you would want to taste test, but you and Jimin would go around to every coffee shop locally starbucks included and order their signature winter drink and see who’s is the best. Don’t forget to splurge on some pastries while you’re at it because you’re already consuming so much sugar as is and don’t forget your water!. You two would also use nothing but walking and public transportation to add to the experience because people on city buses is always fun to encounter. Needless to say by the end of the competition, you can’t sleep that night, and a peppermint hot chocolate won the game~

Taehyung: Indoor scavenger hunt

As a couple you would love to do puzzles and other mind games. On a day where there was just too much snow on the ground to actually go anywhere, you decide to make an indoor scavenger hunt for some winter themed surprises. To make it fair, you’ll split and confide with your best friend to put clues everywhere around the house/apartment for some friendly competition. I could see one of you putting a clue in the snow for some spice too! To which Tae would find the clue first, but he was so excited to finish he wouldn’t properly bundle up- which has a consequence. He would win the hunt, but he would get a head cold so he would enjoy his prizes while cuddling with you with a stuffy nose and fever.

Jungkook: Skiing 

I don’t mean to have him do something athletic but I can’t help it- he fits well with this option. Also in Jungkook’s defense he’s gonna make the trip romantic. He would get a beautiful hotel room for the long weekend- he’ll save the lone cabin adventure for another time heart attack. I could see you staying from like a Friday to a Monday so you have plenty of time to explore around the hotel and go skiing/snowtubing. Of course, Jungkook would be able to pick up on the skiing quickly, but he’s so ready to go on the easy ski paths with you! Snowtubing would be absolutely adorable for the both of you- and you could ride on those double seated tubes!!! Bonus points if you’re better at skiing- keep him on his toes!

Monsta X comforting you after a bad day at work | Retail Edition

Shownu: Well it finally happened- a Karen called corporate on you. Now, no worries, luckily you have a manager that is supportive so you didn’t get in trouble! But that of course doesn’t make you any less furious. You’d alert Shownu by slamming the door shut- he’d come right to you and hold you. You’d be ranting too fast for him to say anything, and he’s okay with that! He’d take you to your shared bed and let you get all your anger out- you normally don’t snap like this. When you’re calm, he’ll cuddle you til you fall asleep for a nap~

Minhyuk: You have a lot of tolerance for your management but one particular day you’d get pushed over the edge. Your display projects got rejected, customers trampled on top of you, AND your time off request was rejected for being “short-staffed”. You lost your shit and went home early. It’d be a nice surprise for Minhyuk, until you started crying out of frustration. Hyuk would sit you on the couch, wipe your tears away, and give you positive affirmations. Bonus points if he asks to see your display ideas too!

Wonho: Never in your life did you think you would have to clean up fecal matter as an adult- but here you are. And you don’t get paid enough to do it either. Now here you are a couple hours later, still sick to your stomach hovered over the toilet. You came home in silence but Wonho left you be, only coming to give you a cold towel, and a little snack to get your sugar back up. He’d also clean the whole apartment for you! Living with a boy can be pretty gross, so the last thing he’d want you to have to go through is washing dirty undies, no thanks~

Kihyun: Being a retail employee is hard- but being a manager can be a lot harder. Today was absolutely horrible because FOUR of your employees called off. When Kihyun read the frantic “i have no staff” text you sent him, he knew exactly what to do. He came to your work place with your favorite drink non-alcoholic bc you’ll get fired and lunch from your favorite place in the food court. He’d eat lunch with you of course, he wouldn’t just leave you to eat on your own! Then when you get home, there’d be a bath drawn just for you to relax in~

Hyungwon: Screaming children, rude customers, and long lines- saying you’d be overstimulated is an understatement. When you called Hyungwon while on your break, hiding in the bathroom in silence as long as you could so he could help you calm down. Coming home after that long day, your shared apartment was turned into a healing space: warm lights, calming scented candles, and all of your favorite blankets and pillows that smell like Hyungwon. He’d give you some space to relax and breathe, and he’d follow up with cuddles.

Jooheon: When Jooheon came home and you jumped when he opened his arms to greet you, he knew something was wrong. After apologizing for scaring you, you explained you had a psycho customer who nearly got physical with you over a sale. Jooheon obviously became furious- since people nowadays are THAT crazy. What made it worse is that your employer wouldn’t let you take the next day off to recover. Obviously that pissed Jooheon off- so with a few phone calls, Jooheon managed to get you the day off as you rightfully deserve it!

I.M/Changkyun: You came home extremely heated- you finally snapped at your toxic co-worker. You were fed U P. This particular co-worker would always try to mess with you and purposely poke fun at you to get a reaction, which you had a tolerance for until their ignorant babbling made you snap. You didn’t get in trouble, thank goodness, and you have Changkyun’s support 110%. He would be SO proud of you for standing up for yourself btw! It takes courage to do that, sooo as a reward, he would take you out for dinner and a mini-shopping spree!
