It had been a week since you had seen Frank. You had found out from one of the other bodyguards that he was on a special assignment, and was due back in another week or so. It was hard not to let your mind wander about where he was, what he was doing, who he was with…if he didn’t like being away from you as much as you despised being away from him. 

He probably hasn’t thought about you once.

You shoved that thought as far back into your mind as you could, focusing back on the blank document that was currently mocking you from your computer screen. A knock sounded on your door, and as you looked up, you saw a face that you’d been seeing more and more of lately in Frank’s absence.

The smile that tugged at the corners of Frank’s mouth was playful, flirtatious even, with a hint of mischief threatening to split open his lips to showcase his teeth. The look in his eyes however was anything but. Their usual warmth of chocolate had been completely eclipsed by almost pure obsidian, as if his pupils had blown completely wide open, leaving the faint rings of iris glowing with a ravenous hunger. A crisp tremor fell down your spine in conjunction with a blazing trail of heat that followed the path of his unwavering stare, and you couldn’t pinpoint what you were more tipsy on at this point; the tequila or him.

Frank hadn’t moved an inch since extending his invitation. As badly as you wanted to accept it, a tiny voice of insecurity echoed in the back of your head.

“Frank…don’t mess with me like this.”

“Do I look like I’m jokin’?”

Child Me, who didn't know what slavery was, playing alone with the chess pieces: “I'll make the pawn work until the pass out, and I'll make the queen hurt them if they don't and the horses can watch them to be sure they won't run away, and if they don't obey they will be punished with whips.”

Six years old me, daydreaming in silence: “What if someone treated someone like an animal and made them crawl around and hurt them all the time? What if I hurt them enough so they won't be able to speak anymore? What if they tied them up and beat them until they were corvered in blood?”

Ten years old me, again daydreaming in silence: “What of after a lot of torture the kidnapped guy started to depend on the mean woman? And he come to only see her because that's all he has and she is kind a few times and now he gets so confused because she is mean most of the time but she also caress him sometimes and it's better to have a little affection then none since his life is only pain now anyway?”

Twelve years old me, writing in secret: “But what is there is a lot of them? Like they where raised together as weapons since toddlers and now they see each other as siblings but can't show else they are tortured? And they are good people but need to kill inocents to survive? And they are tortured by each other mistakes so if one does something wrong they know a loved one will suffer for it? And then one of them is the leader and she has to watch her siblings dying one after another until she runs away alone and full of guilty? What of the people that take care of her didn't know her past until her former owner send a video of trainings and missions showing the torture and the killing and the way her siblings died and now everyone knows the truth and she can only run away and hide because her feeling are too big do bear? What if?”

Fifteen years old me: So many ways to torture someone! What if I whip them daily? Would them survive? What's the minimum amount of food someone can live with? TORTURE FOR INFORMATION. What if they don't have the information and are just being tortured with no way to stop it? What's if they do know the information but their boss's torture will be so much worse if they tell? POISON AND DRUGS. Is there any drug that serves only to cause pain?”

Nineteen years old me, finding the Whump Community: “Oh? OH! THERE ARE MORE OF ME! I'M HOME!”
