Should we write to our public or should we write to ourselves?
Should we try new things or should we keep with the things we know for sure people will like it?
Should we even care about our stories?
Some weeks ago I posted a scenario that I didn't even try hard to write it. It was about period and honestly I wasn't really excited about posting it at all. People write about that all the time.
Surprisingly, it got 490 notes. A common story, even a little boring. It certainly wasn't my best job, so why it was the one that stood out the most?
That made me really mad. So creativity isn't appreciated anymore?
I wanted to do a test to see if this was really true so I wrote something innovative. Something that I put my heart into. Something that I studied to write and plan.
So I posted.
Nothing. No one cared about it.
Since then, I start to cry everytime I think about my writing and what does it means to a writer.
Should I write the same things that I know that will be appreciated?
Is that what hapiness is?
Is that what I should be aiming at?
