So this was a lot to unpack, but some main points:

- They use birth control, but nothing hormonal that could cause abortions or mess up her fertility as they would want more kids in the future

- They got some of the money that Jill was owed from the show, but after they got lawyers involved

- Typical we can be friends with somebody in the LGBTQIA+ community, but disagree (some bs) and giving examples because ‘we are all sinners’

Overall, I expected nothing less from they LGBT+ view, but I hoped for more

“We have boundaries,” Jill, 29, tells PEOPLE. “In our faith, we believe like we're not supposed to get drunk. So, with drinking, it's not like we're just like going crazy. It’s more socially here and there, or at home, for a date or something.  Our kids are pretty young right now, but I think it's good for them to see a healthy balance.”

...

“Growing up, the whole idea of drinking was not encouraged,” Jill says. “I know my parents would not be happy with it, and I know that my siblings, some more than others, would probably have an issue with it. Other ones would probably be like, 'Whatever's good for y’all, that's fine. Live your life.' So far nobody's said anything to us about it.”

...

“I think we've grown a lot as a couple, and I’m okay with people not being okay with it," she says. "Sometimes it's a good thing. I'm very much a people pleaser, so not doing something because I was afraid of what other people would think. Or keeping my opinion quiet because I don't want to have to worry about conflict.”

Jill continues: “The journey that we've been on as a couple, we’re being better about having boundaries and our own family life.”

The pair add that their new perspective has been a positive change all around for them. "We're okay with letting people see more of our life, and our journey. Just being at a healthier place and realizing that it's okay to be transparent. It's been really good," Jill says.

I like how she talks about being a people pleaser as well, really shows that she has gained a deeper understanding of herself and tries to grow!!

Jill is a beautiful person inside and out

honestly who would’ve thought it would be goody two shoes Jill who ended up being the most chill/least fundie. Unfortunately she hasn’t clarified her views on LGBT rights so I’m holding out any other praise.

Jinger and Jeremy Instagram live Q&A May 28th, 2020.

- They have a first and middle name picked out, but they won’t announce it until Baby Vuolo is born. They did the same with Felicity.

- Jinger had a miscarriage in the fall. She got pregnant again with Baby Vuolo 5 months after her miscarriage.

- Jeremy’s sister came over and helped them during the miscarriage. She helped by buying groceries and cook.

- Jinger and Jeremy said that they will allow their girls go to college if it is something they want to do !!!

- One thing Jinger and Jeremy have learned since becoming parents is that parents are really selfish.

- Jeremy said he doesn’t want Felicity to fight for attention. They want to make sure that Felicity doesn’t feel like she has to compete for attention. (I wonder if this means they won’t have a lot of kids?)

- Jinger said her morning sickness was mostly in the afternoon/evening. Now that she is 15 weeks she hasn’t experienced morning sickness as much.

- Jinger said she’s been craving lemons and pickles, which is very Duggar of her. Their neighbor gives them fresh lemons. She craved sweet things during Felicity’s pregnancy and now this time around is craving sour things.

- Jinger said that one way that Jeremy has helped out during the pregnancy is that he’s allowing her to nap when she needs to and help do things around the house when she’s not able too. She says that she loves that Jeremy is home 24/7 now because of the pandemic so that he gets to help out more.

- Jinger and Jeremy said that one thing that they’re working on is that they’re helping Jinger not feel so bad about being tired a lot and needing extra rest through out the day. Jinger says she feels like she isn’t able to do as much but they both understand how pregnancy changes things and how that is okay.

- Felicity calls herself a big sister even though she doesn’t understand what that means. She calls all babies Ivy because of her cousin Ivy Seewald.

- Jinger has been doing pregnancy workouts via YouTube and Jeremy says that Felicity has been copying her and that she’s actually really good at it.

Planned to do a recap of my own, but this covers it! Thanks @haroldtheyrefundies.

ETA: Jinger also says that she craves lemons and pickles! Jeremy craves tacos, but no one cares.

The Vuolo Family had some new photos taken by Joey Velasquez (_freelifephotography_ on IG).

That caption on the first pic makes me want to fly to California and challenge Jeremy to hand to hand combat

If Jeremy could never open his pseudo intellectual mouth ever again that would be great

Wait where is that Pooh? I’m waiting for fundies take Disney.

So, uh, Girl Defined has deep ties to Nazi Germany. Their grandfather joined the Nazi Party way back in 1925 and was the mayor of Saalfelden during WW2.

You can’t control who you’re related to but Bethany is posting happy photos of herself visiting Austria and vaguely mentioned that her grandparents were “directly impacted by the war.” Big yikes.

It's bizarre to see paparazzi shots of them when they're D-List celebrities. -Suz

How would a papparazi person even know who the Duggar’s are?

Was it an actual like paparazzi photographer or just some random local who recognized them and figured they could sell the pictures to a tabloid?

since it’s a megachurch in la, paps could just stake it out to see what celebrities are going there

I don’t know if u can consider a family who’s had like 10 people mag covers D list celebs

This is the first time I've seen these guys pop up in a while, maybe going to post some news soon?

Ooo, they're Instagram creeping! Come back, Jabbie! We have things we want to know! - Mary

There are just some Caldwell Instagram posts lately that seem very much, "Take this daughter and marry her!" in tone. I assumed that's what that ask was referring to.

There are a few more like this. And they are really the first posts the Caldwells have up since 2015, so it feels very sudden for them to be posting regularly again.

Anonymous asked:

I think Jill’s certificate says “Certified Professional Midwife”! Isn’t that what the lay midwives are called as opposed to Certified Nurse Midwives?

Could be her Certified Professional Midwife certificate. I couldn’t tell. I was hoping it would be the one Derick was talking about on instagram.

Avatar

It definitely says “certified” or “certificate” so yeah I’m going with that.

you’ll never catch me shitting on CPMs but yeah Jill would have had to go to actual college and nursing school to be a nurse midwife. CPMs are basically trained by watching and helping out the experienced midwives, plus they have to pass tests and exhibit mastery of certain skills

So here's the thing. Feel free to feel differently from me on this. But Jessa mentioned her mom. Which at least makes you consider if she takes her mom's views on chores and children.

Fundies view the early years as training their children to take over their jobs as adults- which is to run the household.

Chores and wanting to help mom and dad around the house are normal. But looking at this through a fundamentalist lens - which is literally what this blog is - it's less "aw, cute, he wants to help mom!" and more, "I'm concerned about the future generation being thrust into the position of taking on their parent's jobs, as their parents were forced to do before them." And if you start citing Michelle, and saying you shouldn't send them off to play, you're going to set off my warning bells because:

1. The Duggars used the Maxwell chorepacks.

2. It's well known that the older kids raised the younger kids, and did the cooking, and cleaning, and laundey.

3. A very common saying in fundie land is, essentially "train yourself out of a job". I.e. train your kids to be the parents and the housekeeper, and by the time your eldest are elementary age, they can be running the home.

4. This ... whole article. https://www.intouchweekly.com/posts/duggar-children-chores-161741/

So maybe you can understand/ cut me some slack when I cringe when Jessa starts quoting Michelle and extolling her delight that her 3 year old is excited about chores?

- Mary

Taking out the trash and helping with dishes is completely normal. My kids collect and take out the trash and recycling every week as part of their chores. The only reason they don’t do the dishes is bc I don’t trust them to do it. (And because I’ve found a cabinet of dirty dishes and trust me that is not fun). They can do their own laundry too. They don’t always do their own laundry, but they can. And they can switch it out for me if I’m busy doing other stuff.

A three and half year old wanting to help vacuum is perfectly normal too. They see mom doing it and want to help. Mine were never too into vacuuming but they’ve always loved mopping. And shovelling the snow in the winter.

Kids need to learn these chores. They need to learn to take care of a house so when they live on their own they can actually live on their own. Michelle may be a shit parent (and I use the term “parent” loosely) but that doesn’t mean everything she did was wrong. There *is* a window of time when kids are excited to help clean up. Take advantage of it and get them accustomed to helping clean the table or putting away their toys.
