Some girl in my class was talking about McDonald’s shamrock shakes and this yeehaw dude in cowboy boots said they suck and then he looked me in the eyes and said “what you’re gonna do is go to Arby’s, and get yourself a mint chocolate chip shake.” And he said it with such authority and certainty that I did so as soon as I got in my car

I see your concern y’all but this wasn’t a man telling me what to do. This is a man who had important knowledge and shared it with me. He was aiding me on a quest I didn’t even know I was on.

In 2019 we grow from sex positivity to sex responsibility, meaning we:

  • call out shitty people who are just abusers and using kink/polyamory to mask it and stop supporting them
  • recognize that sometimes hypersexuality can be a form a self-harm for some people
  • keep kinks and fetishes in appropriate spaces and not bringing them out into general public spaces and thereby involving people in scenes they aren’t consenting to 
  • understand that some fetishes are inherently unhealthy and some illegal to actually engage in for good reason and ignoring that is irresponsible at best

  • teaching teenagers safe sex but not encouraging them to engage or seek out dangerous sexual situations or sex with a partner who doesn’t care about them in an attempt to be ‘sexually liberated’

I hate that the second I’m left alone I get hit with sad nostalgic pains. I’m the happiest I’ve been in years but its no match for a good ol’ dose of trauma.

I’ve rewatched the ad at least three times to try and figure out why some folks are angry with it and I’m at a loss.  All I see here is: Be a better human. Set a better example. Encouraging strength of character and integrity over typical “machismo”.

and this was no “5 girls in a small town” who made the news—this was yakuza level shit. 20,000 girls getting into gang fights and shoplifting and getting pissed off that only men were allowed to be rough and violent and angry
